Where to start?

I’ve always wanted to give people something more than what they’d come to expect. Something special — the chance to become someone they never dreamed they were capable of being.

Not just in training, but a place in life where they could finally look in the mirror and feel proud of the person staring back. Where their battles — both the ones raging in their head and the ones the world throws at them — no longer felt crushing, but something they could face, perhaps even with a wry smile.

Some months ago, Helen joined the Sett.

From the very first session I could sense her fire. Watching her crush PB after PB, build raw strength that left people on the gym floor staring in amazement, and transform right in front of me has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever been part of. We made it very clear that statistics are only for the average — and Helen is anything but average.

Now she’s moving on to her next chapter, and while it’s sad to see her go, I’ve genuinely never been prouder of another human being.

She has everything a person needs to completely reforge herself. She is the epitome of dedication and grit.

This woman is the fu***ng tempest.

Circuit: 1/6th of Hell

Interval Timer set for 12 rounds.
20 seconds work // 10 Seconds rest

1.Push-Ups
2. Ball Slams
3. KB Swings
4. Battle Ropes

Perform all exercises as quickly, and with as much intent, as your protesting mind and body will allow. The aim is to complete as many repetitions as possible in 20 seconds. 12 rounds is 3 times round the bunch. Enjoy.

Total suffering duration: 6 minutes.

Okay, okay. That absolutely humbled me.

Coming off 10 weeks of nothing but maximum strength training—long rests, zero cardio. I got strong AF, but boy oh boy did the aerobic engine take a massive hit.

Today, I reunited myself with one of my infamous 𝐇o𝐧e𝐲 𝐁a𝐝g𝐞r C𝐢r𝐜u𝐢t𝐬. This is the exact training system that has transformed numerous clients in exceptionally short stretches of time. Today, the coach took his own medicine.

The Clock Starts:

🏃‍♂️ 1km run @ 3% incline

The Circuit (3 rounds, zero rest):
🏋️‍♂️ 24kg KB – 12 Swings // 12 Goblet Squats💥 8kg Slam Ball – 12 Ball Slams
🏃‍♂️ Manual Treadmill – 30-second sprint on the hardest setting

The Finisher:
🏃‍♂️ 1km run @ 3% incline (Stop the clock)

M𝐲 𝐭i𝐦e: 𝟐6:0𝟐

Is it okay? Yes. Is it great? Absolutely not. My muscles had the power, but my lungs couldn't clear the lactic acid fast enough.

But the baseline is officially set. The training shifts today.

Having a trainer who doubles as a content creator is like drinking decaf. It tries to dress and act the part, but it’s fu***ng useless at getting the job done.

Leave the ring lights and inability to appropriately dress yourself to the actors. We work.

Patrick just keeps getting stronger. I watch the 20-somethings watch him train, and I know it hurts. They are "in their prime," training every day, and don't have a fraction of his strength.

What does he have that they don't? Intensity. Pure intensity. (And me as his coach).

2 PBs for the captain today: 6 reps at 78kg on the seated cable row, and a clean 70kg on the Smith machine bench.
