As part of the ambitious training program overseen by the Algerian Federation of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao, which aims to elevate the technical level of athletes and coaches, enable them to advance in the sporting hierarchy by acquiring the necessary academic and practical qualifications, and in activation of the continuous development strategy adopted by the federation , the Algerian Federation, under the high patronage of the African Vovinam Federation and with prior approval from the Algerian Ministry of Sports, supervised the organization of the fourth batch of the examination for obtaining the rank of fourth degree (Assistant Master).
The Fouka Centre for Gathering and Preparing the Sports Elite hosted this prominent event over two days, the 19th and 20th of July 2026. The examination witnessed a qualitative attendance represented by the Deputy Technical Director of the African Federation, Master Mamadou Diop, holder of the sixth degree, which lent the event a continental character and a high professional dimension.
Regarding the scheduled program, the first day (July 19th) was designated as a purely academic scientific station, dedicated to discussing the research papers and graduation dissertations of the candidates, numbering 12 candidates in total, comprising 11 male candidates alongside the sole female candidate, Ms. Sonia Bouharaoua, who stood as a model of the Algerian woman boldly breaking into this field with great competence.
On the morning of the second day (July 20th), the committee moved on to the applied aspect through the field technical examination, which measured the candidates' readiness and their physical and technical abilities. This path culminated in the evening of the same day with a joyful and solemn ceremony to confer ranks and award certificates to the successful candidates, in appreciation of their dedication and competence.
All stages of this examination were conducted under the direct and meticulous supervision of Master Mohamed DJOUADJ , who holds the positions of President of the Algerian Federation of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao, President of the African Vovinam Federation, and Secretary-General of the World Vovinam Federation. He praised the high organizational level and the distinguished participation, which reflects the advanced standing of Algerian sports in international arenas.
We ask God to crown these efforts with success, and that this step will serve as a strong driving force to enhance national competencies and raise Algeria's name high in the firmament of combat sports.
