Keeping the body relaxed is the first requirement of Yoga practice.
Before starting and throughout the practice, observe your body carefully—are there muscles working without any real need?
Very often, we unknowingly create unnecessary tension:
shoulders stay lifted,
eyebrows remain raised,
forehead holds stress lines,
throat feels tight,
stomach stays contracted.
None of this is required.
Yoga is not only about stretching the body, but also about releasing what is unnecessary.
Use only those muscles that are needed for the posture.
Let the rest remain soft, relaxed, and effortless.
The more unnecessary tension you release,
the deeper the benefits of Yoga you experience.
So when you practice next time, remind yourself and relax the body...
