To our vendors and the community,

We want to thank the many local vendors who help make race day a special experience for our community. We value their partnership and recognize the important role they play in the success of horse racing.

Over the past several race events, we have experienced a growing problem involving unauthorized individuals selling beverages throughout the property without approval. To address this, we invested in additional professional security and implemented several operational measures. Despite those efforts, the issue continued and raised concerns about safety and fairness.

We also received reports that beverages were being sold by unauthorized individuals whose products and ingredients could not be verified by event management. This created an additional public safety concern because we could not confirm the source, contents, or handling of those products.

The temporary restriction on beverage sales was never intended to take business away from our approved vendors. It was an operational decision made to address an increasingly difficult situation while we worked toward a better long-term solution.

As part of our ongoing review, our approved vendors will continue to be permitted to sell beverages at race events while we work with them to develop a better system that addresses unauthorized sales without negatively affecting the local businesses that have supported our events for years.

We want our vendors to be part of that solution. We welcome their ideas on how we can improve the process, prevent unauthorized sales, and protect the safety and integrity of race day. We believe the best solutions come from working together.

Our commitment remains the same: to provide a safe and enjoyable event while supporting the local businesses that help make race day what it is, a family-friendly day at the races!
