The University of the Virgin Islands Women's Cross Country Team will open its 2026 season Oct 3, with a six-runner roster anchored by three seniors and strengthened by three freshmen. The Lady Buccaneers enter the season aiming to outperform their eighth-place position in the HBCU Athletic Conference Preseason Predicted Order of Finish and preparing to host UVI's first collegiate cross country meet on Oct. 10.

Sarai Hodge

Hodge is a 5-foot-4 guard from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. This incoming freshman joins the Lady Buccaneers from Charlotte Amalie High School, where she was named the team’s Defensive Player of the Year during the 2025–26 season. Additionally, this scholar-athlete graduated third overall in her high school class at CAHS.

Khaleis London

London, a 5-foot-10 forward from Bay Shore, NY, is transferring from Southwest Tennessee Community College. Last Season, she recorded 146 points, 148 rebounds, and 18 blocks as a Freshman.
During the 2024-25 season, she was honored as the Female Athlete of the Year at Bay Shore High School and was recognized as one of Newsday's Top 100 Long Island Girls Basketball Players. Additionally, she earned a selection to the PAL Girls Basketball All-Star Game.
