Venezuela had just clinched a thrilling 3-2 victory over the United States, and Will Smith – who had masterfully called the game throughout the tournament – was standing there greeting fans, sweat still beading on his forehead, his catcher's mitt still in hand.

It is inspiring to know that in 10 or 14 years, many of these children who benefited from these donations will be lifting the World Baseball Classic trophy, representing their countries.

And we were there, contributing our small grain of sand to support them.

Today, Venezuela celebrates the title.

Tomorrow, it will be another nation.

Many of us will continue to back these young talents, helping them become men of character who are committed to the development of their nations.
