According to Facebook, one year ago today the Skeeters started buzzing so we want to take a moment and say...

🎉🦟 Happy 1st Birthday, Skeeters Fastpitch! 🦟🎉

One year ago today, the Skeeters started with just two moms and a dream. We had no idea this little pickup team would become something so special.

What makes the Skeeters different is that we're exactly that—a pickup team. We don't hold practices. We simply bring together girls who are available, love the game of softball, and want to get out on the field, compete, and have fun. Every tournament is a chance to meet new teammates, make new friends, and create memories that go far beyond the scoreboard.

Over this past year, we've celebrated wins, learned from losses, laughed until our bellies hurt, supported one another, and watched friendships grow. We've also been lucky enough to receive incredible support from our families, friends, and our amazing softball community. We truly couldn't do it without all of you.

One thing we've had a blast with is creating our themed Skeeters! From holiday jerseys to fun tournament designs and everything in between, it's been so much fun bringing our crazy ideas to life and seeing the girls proudly wear them. We hope you've enjoyed following along and seeing what theme we'd come up with next—it has become one of our favorite parts of being the Skeeters!

Thank you to every player who has worn a Skeeters jersey, every parent who trusted us, every coach who volunteered their time, and every fan who has cheered us on.

Here's to one amazing year of buzzing around the ballpark, playing the game we love, and proving that sometimes all you need is two moms, a dream, girls who love softball, and a whole lot of heart.

💜🦟 BRACKET PLAY RECAP 🦟💜

Our tournament run came to an end early yesterday morning, but these girls have so much to be proud of.

The Skeeters battled hard in a true pitchers' duel, falling 3-0 to Lady Rebels Erwin 10U. Every inning was a battle, and our girls never stopped competing until the final out. While the scoreboard wasn't in our favor today, the heart, determination, and grit these girls showed never wavered.

This weekend was about so much more than softball.
The Uncle Charlie's Helping Hospice Tournament reminded us what this game is really about—community, compassion, and coming together for something bigger than ourselves. We cheered on other teams, celebrated great plays no matter what jersey they wore, and supported friends who, for a few innings, happened to be our opponents. Rivalries were left on the field, but friendships and sportsmanship shined all weekend long. That's what youth softball is all about.

We wrap up the weekend: 🦟💜 1-2 overall 🥎 An unforgettable walk-off victory 💪 A weekend full of hustle, growth, and teamwork ❤️ Supporting an incredible cause alongside an amazing softball community.

Thank you to our players, coaches, families, tournament organizers, volunteers, and every team that made this weekend special. We are proud of how our girls represented the Skeeters—on the field with their effort and off the field with their kindness and respect.

Skeeters aren't over yet, and neither is our fight. We'll keep learning, keep growing, and keep buzzing. 🩵🦟

These girls had an absolute blast today! Between the laughs, the memories, and some great softball, they made the most of every moment. Sometimes the best days end with tired faces and serious looks—but we know the smiles were there all day long!

We're proud of this team and can't wait to do it all again tomorrow. Let's keep the fun rolling! 💜🩵

🩵🩷 POOL PLAY COMPLETE! 🩷🩵

What a day for the Skeeters Fastpitch 10U at the Uncle Charlie's Helping Hospice Tournament!

We kicked off the day with an exciting 8-7 walk-off victory over the Lady Quakers! 💥 After building an early lead, the girls battled through a comeback and never quit. With the game tied in the bottom of the final inning, the Skeeters came through in dramatic fashion to earn the win! 🦟🥎

Our second game didn't go our way, falling 5-1 to Queen Bee Brown 9U, but this team continued to fight until the last out and showed the heart, hustle, and determination that defines Skeeters softball.
