Gardeners and Neighbors: there is still a LOT of wood chips at 909 Grant St. that you are welcome to take. If you refresh the paths around your plot now, just think how pretty they will be in the spring! Normal Park neighbors are also welcome to come take wood chips!

WORK PARTY!!! Things are looking a little ragged in our little corner of paradise. Come out on Sat 8/10 from 11-1pm to join in for a little spruce up! This month, we'll also do "Show & Tool." Bring your favorite garden tool and tell us why you think it's indispensable.

Please join us on Sat 6/8 at 11am for our "Chips & Dip" work party, where we first lay down woodchips on the garden paths and then sit down to share some edible chips & dip! As I find locations where you can get free woodchips, I'll add them into the comments. ANYONE is welcome to donate woodchips & cardboard -- you can drop off cardboard anytime by placing it inside the garden fence under the bulletin board.

Organic plots available in Normal Park: Join us at Rec Park Community Garden, adjacent to the Senior Center at 1015 N. Congress Street in Ypsilanti! Taking plot registration forms now through the end of March. Plots are rented on a sliding scale from $5-$30 for a 8'x8' half plot or $10-$50 for a 8'x16' full plot. (We encourage folks to give as much as possible since it's a one-time fee for the entire summer...) Registration Forms are posted on the bulletin board at RPCG or look for them online soon at normalpark.org/activities

Wonderful time in the garden today with our "W**d & Greet" work party focused on medical herbs. We didn't get much weeding done, but we had a lots of fun tasting thyme-infused honey, smelling herbs, and discussing valuable medicines we are already growing and cultivating in our gardens.
