This Friday was truly something special. We had the honor of celebrating the beautiful life and legacy of our cheer sister, E’lexus Conner. 🕊️

Although E’lexus may not be here with us in the flesh, her spirit will forever be a part of us. She will always hold a special place in our hearts and in the history of the FIRST Youngstown High School Defenders Cheer Squad. ❤️💙📣

Every cheer, every memory, every laugh, and every moment of sisterhood reminds us that some bonds don’t end—they simply take on a different form.

Join our Youngstown Defenders Cheerleaders for a fun-filled day this Friday, September 11 as the Defenders take on the Ursuline Fighting Irish! ☘️

Come early and hang out with us at the Defenders Tailgate Party, powered by the Youngstown Defenders Legacy Booster Club! We’ll have food, music, school spirit, and plenty of fun before we head into Rayen Stadium to cheer on our Defenders!

🔥 Tailgate starts at 4 PM
🏈 Kickoff at 7 PM

This week will be an exciting and eventful one for our team as we officially return to school as the DEFENDERS — united as ONE! We’re excited to see our students, staff, families, and community come together as we begin this new chapter. One Vision. One Youngstown. ❤️💙

We’re kicking off the week at the Canfield Fair Showcase at 11:00 AM! This will be our FIRST TIME performing at the fair as the Youngstown Defenders Cheer Team, and we can’t wait to represent Youngstown! 🦉📣

Today, we had the opportunity to collaborate with our Middle School Defenders Cheer Team! 🦉📣❤️💙

We spent some time working together and getting ready for our district’s Annual Staff Convocation, and this year is going to be extra special!

New chapter. Same love. ❤️💙

We’re excited to come together as Defenders and help kick off a brand-new school year while celebrating the amazing staff who make Youngstown City Schools special.
