IT'S FIGHT DAY!!!!

Good afternoon fight fans!!! Today live from historic Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland we bid farewell to one of the greatest women's boxers of all time as Katie Taylor returns home to battle Flora Pili for the undisputed super lightweight championship. Taylor has said this will be her retirement bout and she's more than earned it.

A former Olympic gold medalist and two division world champion, Taylor will not only be remembered for her rivalries with Amanda Serrano and Chantelle Cameron, but for being a class act in and out of the ring. I wish her the best of luck today as she clashes with the tough Pili.

Action will be streaming on DAZN with the main card beginning at 2 PM.

IT'S FIGHT DAY!!!!

My apologies guys I am so late but today on the streaming networks of DAZN PPV and ESPN+, two huge events live from the UK that began at 2PM EST.

First up, live from the O2 in London, unbeaten British phenom and knockout artist Moses Itauma clashes with longtime contender Filip Hrgovic for the vacant IBF heavyweight title. That card is streaming live on DAZN PPV.

Also today in the UK but from Birmingham, unified WBA/WBC super welterweight champion Mikaela Mayer returns to hostile territory as she faces WBO super welterweight Chantelle Cameron in a title unification bout. Also, WBC lightweight champion Caroline Dubois will be defending her strap in the cofeature. Action can be seen live on ESPN+

IT'S FIGHT NIGHT!!! 🥊🥊

Tonight, live from the TMobile Arena in Las Vegas and airing on DAZN and Amazon Prime PPV, WBA welterweight champion Rolly Romero defends his title for the first time vs former two division world champion Teofimo Lopez, who is making his 147 lb debut tonight.

This fight will indeed be a must win for Lopez, who was thoroughly outclassed in his last fight, losing his super lightweight title to Shakur Stevenson. Now you guys know how I feel about fighters getting title opportunities coming off of a loss but this fight in terms of money will be one of the biggest events of the year.

For his part, Romero is coming in off of more than a year of inactivity following the biggest win of his career, a unanimous decision over Ryan Garcia in May of last year, winning the interim WBA welterweight title and was subsequently elevated to full champion last August after then champion Jaron Ennis moved up to the super welterweight division. He then tried to get a bout vs WBO champion Devin Haney, but negotiations stalled and opinions differ on which side was at fault.

Will Lopez be able to mentally get over the biggest defeat of his career to win his third world title???

Will Romero shake off more than a year of inactivity and stake his claim among the elite at 147 lbs??? All questions will be answered tonight.

As for my prediction, I'm gonna go with Lopez via late rounds stoppage in this one.

Good evening fight fans!!!! Live right now on DAZN from State Farm Arena in Atlanta, it's the return of the GWOAT. Heavyweight champion Claressa Shields drops back down to the middleweight division to challenge unified WBC/WBA champion Kaye Scott of Australia.

While I fully expect Shields to win handily I refuse to dismiss Scott as an unworthy opponent because of her lack of professional experience with just 7 pro fights under her belt. She's no scrub and she's not coming to lay down for Shields.

The main card began at 8 PM on DAZN and my apologies for just now posting this but I had a busy day. Nevertheless, enjoy the fights 🥊🥊

Big Sammie Talks Boxing sends my sincerest prayers and condolences to the family of former boxer Prichard Colon. The one time Puerto Rican prospect died on Thursday his family announced on social media.

Once hailed as the future of Puerto Rican boxing, Colon was 16-0 13 KOs and a rising star in the super welterweight division when he entered the ring on October 17, 2015 for a televised bout vs Terel Williams in Fairfax, Virginia. Throughout the course of the fight, Williams repeatedly landed punches to the back of Colon's head but despite the obvious fouls, referee Joe Cooper didn't take away a single point nor disqualify Williams. Colon was eventually disqualified himself in the 9th round after his corner removed his gloves. Subsequently, Colon was helped from the ring and was later diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury as a result of the repeated fouls. Colon was placed in a medically induced coma for 221 days and lost his mobility and ability to speak. For the last 11 years of his life Colon was cared for around the clock by his family and the World Boxing Council donated money to assist in his care. Colon was just 33 years old.

RIP Champ, you fought the good fight in and out of the ring. We got you from here 🙏🕊🙏

IT'S FIGHT DAY!!!! Tonight live from Las Vegas and airing on the networks of DAZN, TNT, and TruTv, it's the second edition of The Fight. In the main event, Lamont Roach Jr faces William Zepeda for the vacant WBC lightweight championship.

Roach is coming off of consecutive disputed draws vs Tank Davis and Pitbull Cruz respectively, while Zepeda is making his first start since his lone career defeat to Shakur Stevenson last year in his first title opportunity. Stevenson relinquished the WBC title after his super lightweight victory over Teofimo Lopez in January, clearing the way for tonight's bout.

In the cofeature, IBF lightweight champion Raymond Muratalla defends against former super lightweight titlist Robson Conceciao.

Main card begins at 8PM EST/5PM PST
