Our trip to Wisconsin Dells for the baseball tournament turned into so much more than we ever expected. It’s one of those weekends that will stick with us forever, and we know every kid on this team will look back on it as one of their favorite childhood memories. The parents had just as much fun as our boys did to say the least. We truly are the definition of a baseball family! The way we support and love each others kiddos is so humbling!
On the field, these boys were incredible. They finished pool play undefeated at 3-0, earning the #2 seed out of 14 teams in our division. Unfortunately, our tournament run ended in bracket play, but not without an absolute battle. They gave everything they had until the very last pitch and came up just one swing short. Watching them compete with that much heart made us all so incredible proud. The comments and recognition we got from several other teams on how far we’ve come was amazing.
What started as a baseball weekend quickly became a collection of stories we’ll remember and be laughing about for years. There was a knocked-out front tooth that led to oral surgery (not the funny part) during warm-up at 7:20 a.m. to missing car keys and an almost missed flight, to dancing and rap battles in the cabana, to our team parents lining the swim up bar entrance and convincing strangers to dance as they swam through, jet boat rides, arcades, waterslides, lazy rivers, late nights, early mornings, and countless laughs in between.
This season has given us so much more than wins and losses. It brought together an incredible group of kids, parents, and families who genuinely enjoy being together. The friendships we’ve made and the memories we’ve created are worth far more than any trophy. What an unforgettable weekend and an even more unforgettable season. ❤️⚾
