Day one of tryouts is today, with a second opportunity tomorrow! We’re excited to get another season of Yorktown Youth Basketball underway.

TRAVEL TEAM TRYOUTS | GRADES 2–5
📍 Sports Performance Center — enter through the new south entrance of YHS

TODAY — SUNDAY, AUGUST 30
• 1:00–1:45 — Grades 2–3
• 1:45–2:00 — Parent/Guardian Meeting
• 2:00–2:45 — Grades 4–5

TOMORROW — MONDAY, AUGUST 31
• 6:00–6:45 — Grades 2–3
• 6:45–7:00 — Parent/Guardian Meeting
• 7:00–7:45 — Grades 4–5

✅ No advance registration is needed—just show up! Please plan to attend at least one tryout and one parent meeting. Players are welcome to attend both tryout sessions.

🏀 We plan to have two travel teams per grade, plus additional Skills League opportunities for grades K–5 later this fall.

We’re excited to welcome coach Moran to the Yorktown athletics family and wish him and the Yorktown Baseball program all the best!

🐅 WELCOME TO YORKTOWN, COACH MORAN!
Yorktown Baseball is excited to welcome Coach Moran to the Tigers family!

With 30+ years of baseball coaching experience, Coach Moran has coached at every level of the game. Before joining Yorktown, he served as Head Coach at Southwestern Jr./Sr. High School in Shelbyville. Prior to that, he coached varsity baseball in the far north suburbs of Chicago.

And baseball isn’t his only game. ⚾🏒🏈 Coach Moran has also spent 15 years coaching hockey and has coached high school football in Illinois.

Before becoming a coach, Coach Moran took the field himself, playing baseball at Wayne State College (NE).

Now, he brings that experience, passion, and love for competition to Yorktown High School. We’re excited to have him leading the Tigers!

Off the field, Coach Moran lives in Pendleton with his wife, Becky, stepdaughter Halle, and their three dogs.

Welcome to Yorktown, Coach Moran! Let’s get to work. 🐅⚾
