CHEERLEADING PREVIEW: Bowick, Hamler, and Knapp will captain York cheer this winter.

GREIGSVILLE – York Varsity Competitive Cheerleading coach Racheal Hall will enter her first season as head coach for the Golden Knights’ varsity program; however, she has spent the previous three years coaching at both modified and JV.
This will be the first time York has had a varsity competitive cheer team since the 2022-2023 season.
Key returners this season include Kobe Bowick (Jr., Captain, Back Spot, Tumbler); McKenna Hamler (Jr., Captain, Main Base); Erin Knapp (Jr., Captain, Main Base, Flyer, Tumbler); and Ava Lorenzetti (Soph., Flyer).
Top newcomers joining varsity this season are Averi Thompson (8th Grade, Flyer, Tumbler).
Coach Hall is excited about the season.
“This group has been working hard on modified and JV over the past few years, and together they have put in countless hours at private classes and cheer clinics in order to compete at the varsity level,” she said. “We are excited to hit the mat and show off our hard work and improved skills this season!”
