Hey there friends, while I have some down time as wrap this trip up... to catch up on 100 other things... hypothetically, would anyone be interested in contributing a monthly amount to help provide education, life skills, academic support, and supplemental food assistance to autistic, deaf, other higher need kids in Venezuela?
I have been working on and exploring this since last year and I am nearly ready to help launch a new organization aimed at this very large need. These kids are often overlooked in all societies, but especially in situations like Venezuela where you have a huge lack of government support and assistance just cannot be found from anywhere.
Still working out some details, but just $40-50/month can make a drastic change in these kid's lives and my goal is to allow them to reach a level of independence once they are adults. We are looking to start some programs with just a few students, but if I can find some people to commit a bit of support, I can get a better idea of what else we will need to coordinate and how large of a scale to look forward to.
Our goal on this is to have things up and running by their new school year starting in September.
