Championship bound. 🧡🖤⚾️

The Falcons took care of business in the semifinals with a 14-2 win over the UP Eagles and earned their spot in the Summer Slam Championship Game.

The bats stayed hot as the boys piled up 15 hits and kept the pressure on from the very first inning.

At the plate:

• Nicholas P drove in three runs and collected two hits.

• Austin M continued his strong day with two hits and an RBI.

• Ryan C tripled, drove in a run, and collected two hits.

• Caleb M delivered a big 2-RBI single.

• Devon G and Ben K each added two hits.

• The Falcons swiped seven bases and worked six walks.

On the mound:

• Matthew L was outstanding, allowing just one run over three innings while keeping the Eagles off balance all game.

• Nicholas P came on in relief and tossed a scoreless inning, allowing no hits.

The boys also turned a double play and played the kind of complete team baseball that’s become their trademark.

One more game.

Summer Slam Tournament Saturday Recap ⚾️

The boys split a pair of games on Saturday, dropping the opener before bouncing back with a 17-7 win in Game 2.

Game 1 Highlights

• Austin M went 2-for-2 with 2 RBIs.
• Devon G scored twice, stole home, and added three stolen bases.
• The Falcons drew six walks and stole eight bases.
• Matthew L got the start and battled through two innings on the mound.

Game 2 Highlights

• The offense erupted for 17 hits.
• Devon G went 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs.
• Luke F drove in 3 runs, including a big 2-run double.
• Austin M and Ben K each collected three hits.
• Blake S added two hits and an RBI double.

On the mound:

• Luke F allowed just one run over two innings.
• Ryan C threw a scoreless inning in relief and struck out two.

The boys also turned a double play and swiped 14 bases as they closed out the day with a strong team win.

One more pool play game awaits Sunday morning against the SL Spartans.
