The final game of the 50+ 2026 Summer season was a high-scoring affair, with the Blue Team going up 5-1 in the 2nd and preventing a comeback attempt by the Gray Team. The game finished 7-5 with a Blue victory.

Here are a few highlights including a Wertzy toe drag and score around Derek, then an answer by Derek with a goal of his own, and a nice 2 v 1 by Scott and Mike.

Gray team wins this week 4-2 over Blue, with Goalie Doug making lots of great saves. But the goal of the game was a sweet PPG by Andy on the Blue team.

A total team effort as Wertzy won the faceoff back to Mike, who dished it over to Andy for the one-timer as Dave screened the keeper. Also Tony was there, for moral support!

A back and forth battle last night ends up in a 4-4 tie. Livebarn was acting up, so the only clip I could grab was this shot by Mike to win the game for the Gray team in OT!

Tomorrow's game, July 6th, Monday at 915pm has been canceled due to power issues. It will be rescheduled at the end of the season.

For those who have inquired: No, we will not be throwing a Caddyshack style pool party in Rinks 1 & 2 while the ice is melted.

Last night's game turned into more of an informal scrimmage as our ref was unable to make the game. Blue Team gets the 8-2 "victory", though some claim the score should have been 8-4.

One of the Gray team's goals was disallowed as Harry made the call from the scorer's table after a save by Joe, and the other goal was sent up to Toronto after a coach's challenge.

Upon further review, the scoring player, Ernesto, was ruled offsides prior to his goal.

Oooops, forgot to post this one: Another shutout for Goalie Joe in a 3-0 victory for the Gray team this past Monday night. Goalie Doug played well too but just didn't get the offensive support that he deserved. SHAME!
