๐ฃ UNIFORM UPDATE ๐ฃ
Unfortunately, our uniform company was recently bought out and is in the process of rebranding. Our shells are still showing as being in production, but we have been informed that the company laid off its staff and will not be reopening until this week.
I want everyone to know that we are doing everything we possibly can to get answers. I have sent 15+ emails, left multiple voicemails, and called every number I have been able to find in an effort to get someone to respond. I am hoping to hear something very soon.
I completely understand that this situation is frustrating and that this is not ideal. Please know that I am just as frustrated about this situation as Iโm sure many of you are. Unfortunately, until we are able to get in contact with someone at the company, this is outside of our control.
This is not something Wyandotte Youth Cheer caused, and we are actively working to find a solution.
In the meantime, until we receive our shells, we will have t-shirts made for the girls to wear to games with black shorts. This will allow all of our girls to match and represent Wyandotte Youth Cheer together while we work through this situation.
I am also looking into backup options while we wait to hear back from Champion. We are not simply sitting and waiting โ we are exploring every option available to us so that we can find the best solution for our girls.
Unfortunately, we are not the only organization dealing with this issue. Commerce and several other surrounding towns are experiencing similar problems with the company.
๐ค A REMINDER REGARDING COMMUNICATION & SOCIAL MEDIA
We understand that parents, coaches, and volunteers may have questions, concerns, or frustrations from time to time. We are always willing to listen and have those conversations respectfully.
However, Wyandotte Youth Cheer has a zero-tolerance policy for public social media posts that attack, demean, disparage, or intentionally create negativity toward our organization, board members, coaches, volunteers, or other members of our program.
If you have a concern, please bring it directly to the board so we have the opportunity to hear you, address the situation, and work toward a solution. We will always be willing to have a respectful conversation.
Social media is not the appropriate place to handle internal issues, disagreements, or concerns about our organization. Public negativity only creates more division and takes away from what we are all here to do โ provide a positive experience for our kids.
We expect everyone representing Wyandotte Youth Cheer, including coaches, volunteers, and board members, to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner, both in person and online.
We are one organization, and we need to work together. ๐ค๐ค๐ฉถ
We know this uniform situation is frustrating. It is frustrating for us to. But please know that we are doing everything we can to get this figured out and find the best solution for our girls.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to come talk to me after practice tomorrow, and I will be happy to discuss what we know at that time.
Thank you all for your patience, understanding, and support while we work through something that was completely unexpected.
