Just wanted to take a moment to reflect on the All-Stars Weekend and say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who made it all possible!
🥎 Coaches: Thank you for investing countless hours of your time into our girls. Your dedication does not go unnoticed. Our girls will always remember the coaches who encouraged them on their journey.
🌭 Concession Workers: When push came to shove, you guys showed up right when it was needed most! At one point, we had 8 workers in the concession stand at one time slinging hot dogs and taking care of both fields’ families and players. Incredible work and we survived!
🍧 Snowcone Kids: To the kiddos who ran the station, you guys did awesome! A very special shoutout to Jackson Bonzo and Harper Lyon, who stepped in and ran that table and crushed it (literally)!
🔨 Facilities/Maintenance Crew: To the ones who mowed the grass, drug and striped the fields, carrying out garbage, fixing electrical issues and plunging the toilets - no matter what it was, you got it done.
👫Parents/Grandparents/Families - Thank you for sharing your girls with the RWLL. You’ve devoted your time/money, etc, supporting your girls. You’ve encouraged them to be team players, to push themselves, work hard and show up each day!
Did the weekend go smoothly, chaos and frustration free? 😂🤣 ABSOLUTELY NOT! But seeing the field full of canopies and chairs, games being played on both fields, hearing the girls’ names and walkout songs being played, and the families cheering and clapping for their players, it was AWESOME!
🌟Thank you to Bobby Ross for sharing your vision of what RWLL can be and for presenting the players with the championship rings; Bobby McKee for handling the behind the scenes phone calls, coaching, planning, etc.; Becky Payne for managing the concession inventory and schedules; and Tyler Phelps for handling the maintenance issues and putting fires 🔥 out all over the place.
There’s so many more people who are deserved thank you’s but I don’t have the ability to name them all without leaving someone out, and I would not want to ever do that!
I’m looking forward to watching these girls play softball in the Fall 🥎
