Week Five ✅ This was a deload week, so volume was slightly down! This week we had a 20 min easy run, a speed workout, a 30 min easy run, and my additional 20 minute cardio session on the bike 😊 Nervous for week 6 as it seems 3 mile runs are about to be a thing of the past 😬

Week Four ✅ This week consisted of a 3 mile run that I did with Sully 🐶 💛// a very hard speed work day that I did on the treadmill-averaging about 5 miles// a 4 mile run that I did on the treadmill while watching Running Wild with and // and to end the week we did a 30 minute Zone 2 ride on the bike! Looking forward to next weeks deload 😊 And still got in my 3 strength training sessions 💪🏻

Week 3 is officially crossed off! A little off this week thanks to a lovely spring time cold I just couldn’t shake. 3 sessions this week- a 3 mile, a speed session, and a 4 mile ✅ No extra session this week because 🤧 I may not be fast, but I think it’s still pretty cool that I can go out and casually jog 4 miles while feeling good and not stopping 😊

Week 2 complete ✅ This week was Two “easy” 3 mile runs, 1 day of speed work, and an optional 30 minute zone 2 cardio session! I don’t know if my mind is playing tricks on me, but the easy runs already feel… easier! I actually look forward to them! The speed work was HARD… as it should be. And then took a Peloton class for my optional cardio today focusing on staying in Zone 2! Also, fueling and eating good 💪🏻 Trying to prioritize more carbohydrates!

Keeping a diary mostly for me, but you can follow along if you’d like 😉 Week 1 done ✅ of my intermediate 5k program. I’ve never followed a true program or took the time to build my aerobic base. Three 3 mile Zone 2 (140-151 bpm for me) runs this week. Not running with the intention of just trying to go as fast as possible has been weird, in a good way! It’s nice to finish a training run feeling like there’s a little more left in the tank!

If you open up my freezer you will always find:
YASSO! Any flavor. Love these for a sweet treat. They have a few grams of protein and are pretty low calorie.
Frozen brown rice from Trader Joe’s! I use this for so many meal preps! The best part is that I keep it frozen when I put the meal together. It’ll defrost in the fridge and heat up perfectly.
Any type of frozen veggie! The easiest way to have veggies on hand and you don’t have to worry about not using them in time.
AppleGate chicken sausage. The perfect addition to a breakfast crunch wrap or omelette. A great way to get in more protein.
Frozen Kodiak Pancakes. Pair these with some sugar free syrup and a cup of egg whites for a high protein breakfast that can be made in less than 5 minutes.
Frozen salmon! This one is my favorite. The flavor is sooooo good! I cook these in the air fryer for about 10 minutes and it’s ready to eat!
Trader Joe’s bbq teriyaki chicken! I eat this at least once a week! It takes like Chinese takeout for only 150 calories a serving. Can be made in the microwave in 5 minutes.
Frozen mashed potatoes from Trader Joe’s! You’d never know these were frozen. A perfect carbohydrate to pair with dinner. I use these in my Shepard’s pie bowl!
Birdseye frozen lentil/zucchini pastas. All variations are delicious. I’ll usually ass chicken and a veggie to make a pasta bowl for lunxh or dinner!

🥳🍴 This is what a day of eating looks like for me on a Sunday!
I usually have larger meals during the week, however on Sundays I have a lot of time to graze haha.
I also use Sunday’s to try out new things/test out new recipes!
I am currently not in a fat loss phase, I am reverse dieting while trying to maintain my weight after recently losing 15 lbs.
This would be the same food I’d eat if I was losing weight as well, just less of it!
