A double-check is better than a second-guess. Call your vet's office and ask if your dog has and up-to-date Parvo vaccine. Only takes about 4-5 minutes of your time to check. Could save your pup's life!

"Sign language? My dog can learn that?"

"Yes. No only that, but you guys can have a much more authentic bond. Dogs rely on scent and sight and body language in the wild, we're the ones who imposed all this language on them. And he will still find a way to sucker food out of you, while you sign to him over and over that it's all gone, and there's no more bacon, and he'll live to see bacon another day."

"How soon can you come?"

She sounded hopeful for the first time since we started talking. I love my job.

Recently, a few clients and friends have asked me about the pictures of dogs in pantyhose coming from China. Now - I know people find it unsettling, it does look rather strange. But I would caution you before judging these images: for one, the dogs aren't struggling. There's no sign these animals were ambushed, and shoved into ladies undergarments. In fact, it appears that these are dogs whose owners have put them into something silly to wear, for the purposes of taking a photo. Now, I don't know about you, but it seems pretty... American of them to do so. Do be careful, however, if you dress up your dog, to give them plenty of praise, and treats afterwards!
