We braved the heat and went to Midway Speedway last night. Rosie decided to only run her Jr Wing.

For her heat race she started 3rd. After a few cautions and restarts, she made her way to the front and never looked back. Took the checkered.

During intermission, we decided to make a gear change to get her some more speed.

For her feature race she started on the pole. She led a few laps and was passed. Dropped down to 3rd, and eventually made her way back up to 2nd. Where she finished. Not too bad of a night.

We would like to thank everyone who has helped us along this journey.

Race recap.
We went to Midway Speedway for the Back to School Dash. Rosie finally got to run both of her karts.

In her Jr3 kart, we struggled with carburetor issues all night. She started 5th and finished 3rd in her heat race. For her feature race she started 3rd and finished 5th. Needless to say, not the finish we were hoping for. But we learned a lot. We did try a new tire prep and man was it great. For once we weren’t struggling with tires. All in all not bad for the first time in the kart since the wreck in May.

For Jr Wing, she started 2nd and struggled to find the right groove and speed, finishing 4th. Realizing that her throttle was sticking and wasn’t getting full throttle, we cleaned it and made a few adjustments. For her feature race we definitely saw a difference. Starting 4th and at one point made her way to 2nd, but got passed and finished 3rd. Was definitely an exciting race.

We would like to thank all our her sponsors and everyone that helped us out. We couldn’t do this without you.

And a huge thank you to Mr Ricky and Jacob Butler for having the right tool that we needed.
Also Uncle CH for the last minute help the day before the race. We wouldn’t have been able to make it to the track if it wasn’t for him and the help getting everything put back together.

Race re-cap for the Jarrod Doyle benefit race on July 11.

Rosie was finally able and healthy enough to get back in her Jr Wing kart. She looked really good in hot laps/practice. For her heat race she started 3rd, battled her way up to 1st. She got loose in a turn and was spun. Which put her to the rear. She fought and made her way back up to 3rd, where she finished.

For her feature race, she started 3rd. She made her way to 2nd and battled back and forth, but was unable to hold the position and finished the night in 3rd.

Was a great night of racing for a great cause. All in all there was almost $7000 eased to go towards the medical treatment for Mr. Jarrod Doyle.

Rosie said before we even got to the track that any money that she wins, she will donate it back to the family. And his medical treatment is more important.

We would like to thank everyone who has come on board and helped her get to where she is now and that continues to support her in her racing journey.

Rosie is finally ready to get back behind the wheel. This Saturday, she will be racing in the Jarrod Doyle benefit race. Unfortunately, she won’t be in her flat kart, but in her Jr Wing. With her broken arm and subsequent 10-day hospital stay after getting her cast off, we haven’t had time to get it fixed. She is still looking for sponsors to help her get a new body for her flat kart. If you would like to help her get back on the track in her flat kart, we would greatly appreciate your support.

Update: We want to thank Kevin Ray and Miles for helping Rosie out and getting her one more step closer to getting her flat kart back on the track. We now have a body for her.
