🏆STATE CHAMPIONS🏆

What an outstanding day for our senior team at the Oklahoma Scholastic Shooting Sports State Trap Shoot, hosted by the OKDW. Competing in a challenging bracket-style elimination, our shooters showed incredible focus and teamwork to earn the State Championship!!!

The team delivered an exceptional performance, tying the state record with a score of 239 out of 250!

We’re also proud to celebrate two outstanding individual finishes:
• Kyson Halley – 2nd Place Senior Male Individual
• Rylon Arnold – 3rd Place Senior Male Individual

This achievement belongs to the entire team. Their hard work, sportsmanship, and commitment to excellence have made our school and community incredibly proud.

We are headed to state!!!

Great day for our Woodward Shooting Sports team at the Regional Trap Shoot hosted by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife at OTSA in El Reno!

We had several athletes place in the Top 10 and bring home some hardware:

• Jaleigh Monroe– Junior Female Top 10
• Mackenzie McIlvain– Senior Female Top 10
• Tessa Endersby– Senior Female Top 10
• Kyson Halley– Senior Male Top 10
• Colton Bowers– Senior Male Top 10
• Rylon Arnold– Senior Male Regional Champion!!!

Our Senior Team also earned an impressive 3rd Place finish.

Even better, every one of these athletes, along with our senior team, has qualified for the State Competition on April 15 in El Reno.

Proud of the way this group continues to show up, compete, and represent Woodward! Let’s keep it rolling into state!

We are proud to congratulate Bo Patten on signing his letter of intent to continue his shooting career at Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska!

Bo’s hard work, consistency, and commitment to the sport have truly paid off. He has been a dedicated athlete and leader in our program, and we couldn’t be more excited to see him take this next step. The Midland University Shotgun Sports are gaining not only a talented shooter, but a young man who’s been a leader and example for those around him.

Couldn’t have asked for a better day for our fundraiser shoot. Beautiful weather, great turnout, and a really fun day all around.

Thank you to everyone who came out to shoot, support, and help make the event run so smoothly. We truly appreciate the support for our program.

A big thank you to Zac, McKayla, Lance, and the rest of the crew at Silverleaf Shotgun Sports for hosting us, they are so great to work with.

We’re excited to officially announce our Spring Fling Sporting Clay Shoot benefiting Woodward FFA Shooting Sports! Join us for a great day of shooting, food, prizes, and fellowship at one of the best ranges in Oklahoma!

🎯 74-target sporting clay course

• $150 per individual
• $600 per 4-man team

A huge congratulations to freshman Colton Bowers, who brought home the Junior Individual State Championship with a perfect score. An incredible accomplishment — we’re so proud of you! 💥🎯

Our Senior Team finished as State Runner-Up!!!
They worked together, stayed focused, and represented our program exactly the way we hope for — with pride, respect, and great sportsmanship.

We are proud of both teams — not just for how they shoot, but for the way they show up for one another and carry themselves everywhere we go.
