Stage 6 of the Precision Tactical 2 Rifle match in Raton, NM.

This stage had smallish rifle targets 295-720 yards and really small AR targets 158-350 yards. I scored 18 of 20 points with four 1st round hits with the rifle and 10 hits with the AR.

I’ve been working on on my system trying to get smoother and faster. I found a couple of small things that need work (one equipment and one me).

Stage 7 of the Precision Tactical 2 Rifle match in Raton, NM.

This stage had rifle targets from 375-630 yards and AR targets 162-485. I scored 18 of 20 points with three 1st round hits and two 2nd round hits on the rifle and 10 hits with the AR.

Started my AR run with an equipment malfunction when my sling got caught in the charging handle and eventually caused a double feed. Worked the problem and got to shooting.

Team Old Guys, plus a hippie, at it again at the Precision Tactical 2 Rifle match in Raton, NM. Precision bolt gun and tactical AR both shot in the same course of fire.

You have 6 minutes to engage 5 rifle targets at 250-1023 yards and 10 AR targets at 116-550 yards.

I finished with my personal best score of 130 (out of possible 160) and finished 9th of 40 shooters.

I shot my custom 25 Creedmoor bolt gun with the SilencerCo Scythe Ti suppressor and my 18” JP AR with the new Thunderbeast Arms Spiro suppressor. I’m in love with the TBAC Spiro, super quiet and NO gas issues. My equipment ran flawlessly and in a tough environment had absolutely no hiccups.

Does this rifle make me look fat?? 😂😂

Neil and I at the NRL Hunter match in SE Oklahoma this last weekend. We managed a 6th place finish (out of 19 teams) among some of the best shooters in the game (1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams each had at least one national champion on them). This was our best finish yet, with an 86% of winner score.

Team Old Guys on stage 19 of Best of the West NRL Hunter competition. We scored 15 of 16 points on two pig targets with 8” score zones at 320 yards.

Team old guys cleaning stage 4 of the NRL Hunter competition in Eastern Oklahoma this last weekend. 16 points on prairie dog targets at 170-250 yards.

Competed in the Cap Starr Shooting, LLC February No Man’s Land Shootout in Beaver, OK. Solid outing. 1st/10 in my class and 3rd/17 overall. Hunter Starr puts on a great match!
