NJ Skate Collective While we are mostly women, non-binary, and trans rollerskaters, we welcome all wheels, bodies, and abilities.

We value inclusivity and aim to center and uplift marginalized voices and to help make skating accessible to all.

Dress up in your favorite pride colors or show up in what feels good for you! All colors of the rainbow and allies are invited at any skate level. YOU CAN SKATE WITH US!

🛼 If you want to attend but don’t have skates yet, DM us for available loaner gear!

⭐️Doors open at 10am for our 2-hour Saturday sesh⭐️

After 12pm, doors open to all skaters for Freedom’s weekly 12-6 sesh. Feel free to stay and keep shredding!

Freedom has lights, bathrooms, and mixed skill-level skate elements, including some fresh builds for this season!

We’re grateful to partner with Freedom again for the season! If you have the means, they accept donations and sell merch! 🛹🛼

We’ll have our collection of shareable skates and gear — send us a DM to see if we have your size!

🎃 Oct 25th @ 2pm: open casket skate jam in Montclair, hosted by and

🎃 Oct 25th: supernatural skate jam at in pennsauken with prizes and contests for all levels

🎃 Oct 26th @ 3pm: our very own Tricks & Treats costume skate meetup at east orange skatepark, hosted by !

🎃 Oct 27th @ 6:45pm: Halloween street skate night - costume required rollout with and in west new york, NJ

🎃 Oct 29th @ 7:45pm: halloween street skate, one of the biggest group skate events in the area! Meet up promptly at 7:45 at Union Square, NYC

🎃 Nov 1st @ 12pm: day of the shred, hosted by in Trenton. Cash prizes for best tricks!

🎃 BONUS! Contest deadline Nov 1st: tricks for treats, a video submission contest by ! Tag them doing your best trick on skates or inlines for a chance to win 🥇 full details on their IG page

👻Let’s get creepy!💀

It’s that time of year for a Spooky Skate at East Orange! Wear a costume and come share some tricks and treats! 🛹 🛼

We’ll meet up at 3pm and skate until we turn into pumpkins 🎃

Our admin team will be there with some second-hand wearables and skate gear that we’d LOVE to giveaway! We’ve got quads, inlines, and pads in various sizes, so come by and see if we have something that’s right for you!

We’ve also got a few exciting announcements about upcoming plans for NJSC - It’s guaranteed to be a spooky good time, no matter how you roll! This is a free & fun all wheels and all skill levels skatepark event 👻

PARKING: park in the metered lot at the library (might be free on Sundays) or along Lenox or S. Walnut. Do not park in residential parking lots!

FACILITIES: there’s occasionally a portapotty on site, the park has no restrooms or water fountains. The 7-11 across the street has a restroom available to customers as well as drinks & snacks.

Our first September meetup is this Sunday, Sept 7th, hosted by Wallace & Amy, and ! We’ll be rolling on a paved trail through Sandy Hook, enjoying the ocean & bay views, wooded trails, and a post-skate beach picnic & dip in the ocean!

☀️WHO: Open to everyone and all wheels are welcome
☀️WHEN: 9/7 @ 2pm. Rollout promptly at 2:30!
☀️WHERE: Sandy Hook - Gateway National Recreation Area, Parking Lot E. Trail is in the back of the lot, we’ll gear up at our cars and meet there!

Remember to bring water, sunscreen, a towel or blanket, and shareable snacks for an afternoon picnic on the beach!

✨Accessibility info:
The park is free after Labor Day. Lot E has public restrooms. There are no lifeguards on duty, so swim at your own risk. If you’d like to connect with NJSC or other attendees prior to the event, DM us for a link to our group Discord and follow this event’s thread!

NJSC First of Spring Sunday sesh!

Not a minute too soon, the weather is starting to turn around in skate's favor!
If skies are clear, we're meeting at Woodbridge Skate Park on March 23 at 11am (until maybe 2pm? Depends on the flow!).

We're excited to touch ground with our friends again, and we hope you can make it out!!

NJSC ANNUAL PLANNING MEETING TOMORROW!

Have recent events put a fire in your belly, too?

NJSC is ready to take on this new year with community energy, and we want you to be part of it!

We’re meeting Tuesday Feb. 18th (TOMORROW) at 6:30pm via Google Meet to talk plans and ideas for meetups/events, our social media platforms, and outreach.

Join our meeting and be part of a state-wide support system for q***r, femme, and other marginalized skaters!
