A little different post this week. Gonna recap last week and this past Saturday.
7/18 recap- We drew outside poll had a bad fast car all day in practice and felt really good about it, on the initial start we spun the tires taking the green which got us sideways and into the p1 car, checked up to try and avoid any or minimal damage to our car and the p1 car but didn’t work out that way hated it for that driver, we were able to stay out but they ended up black flagging us for a “loose” body panel, went to the pits and removed panel came back out and salvaged a decent finish of p12 was not the finish we were looking for but we finished on the lead lap and with only cosmetic damage.
7/25 recap- Morning practice was cancelled due to weather which meant we only had one practice in the afternoon to dial in the car. We drew p18 and knew we had a lot of ground to make up in the race. Well plans changed real quick during afternoon practice, we made a few great laps with plenty of speed, well a car broke in front of us on the high line when we went to drive under his car came down the track and cleaned the whole right side of the car off, we thought it was over. But let me tell you the team we have we have no quit, we got to work and got the car back together and ready for battle. Ended up finishing the race p6, it was a hard fought race had a lot of tough cars around me but we managed to maintain a solid finish. Shout out to my eyes in the sky Saturday Kyler Kepley keeping me calm and guiding me through. Honestly spotters don’t get nearly as much credit as they should.
But without the help of guys who helped get it back together we would have been done.
