The Hammer Award is a traveling award given to the Illinois Black Sox player who best exemplifies leadership and performance each week.

The Hammer Award for this last weekend goes to #13, Oliver Probus, playing out of Windsor School District!

Oliver throughout our season has had his ups and his downs, as we all would. But he kept getting just a little better every day. Bringing it around for our last weekend with some very key defensive plays to help his team out.

Way to go Ollie, I’m proud of you!

The Hammer Award is a traveling award given to the Illinois Black Sox player who best exemplifies leadership and performance each week.

The Hammer Award this week goes to #30 Luke Haumesser, playing out Casey-Westfield school.

Luke led the team offensively this weekend, batting average of .800, snagging a couple RBI’s and stolen bases. He definitely was the toughest out for opposing pitchers!

Great job, Luke! Proud of you young man!

The Hammer Award this week goes to #10, Waylon Cushman!

Waylon was a driving force of motivation and support for his teammates this weekend. His selflessness and commitment to those to his left and his right made it possible for the Black Sox to power through adversity. Relentless in picking up each of his brothers. And to complement his leadership he had an OBP of .500 and 2 stolen bases during our DH.

Great work Waylon! Very proud of you!

The Hammer Award this week goes to #8 “JT” Jackson Tabbert!

After our first three games this weekend, Jackson had a batting average of .500, OBP .750, had 6 stolen bases and 4 runs scored! But more than that, Jackson puts his team first and is driving force of constant motivation, support and positivity, when he’s on the field and even more when he’s in the dugout.

Way to go, JT! Proud of you young man!

The Hammer Award this week goes to #11, Toby Musson! He plays put of Stew-Stras.

Toby had an outstanding performance at the plate this weekend with a batting of .800 and on base percentage of .833! Wow! 😮 To go along with that, he scored 4 runs himself and stole 6 bases! Absolutely fearless on the base path, constantly challenging the defenders. Excellent work #11!

More than his performance, his leadership and selflessness made him stand out. Toby plays multiple positions and is always happy to step in and help his team in the best way he can.

Let’s hear it for #11!
