I am sure my foot doctor won't be happy with me but but after resting a few days we made the trip to The Farm Track today to do some testing and just run some laps. It felt really good to be back in the seat after hurting my foot this winter (YES it already hurts and I am sure it will be worse tomorrow) but I was lucky enough to come away with one win and a fifth place. And yes, the cooler water was cold but it didn't numb the pain.

I am very thankful for all the help that everyone gives us and we couldn't do it without them.

I am pretty sure this wasn't foot doctor approved but it felt good to be back behind the wheel after being down for several months. Hopefully I don't pay for this in the morning.

We feel confident that we have the fastest Premier V3 lawnmower racer out there as I took first place in the modified lawnmower races at our county fair.

What do you do when the orthopedic doctor tells you two more weeks of no weight on your foot? You come home and start tearing into a big block Chevy of course.

With everything going on we decided to stay close to home this weekend and enjoyed The Boonesborough Boogie Car Show at Fort Boonesboro State Park. We didn't win any awards this year but met lots of nice people that stopped by to check out one of our karts. Just about all were surprised that it is raced by a teenage girl.

To say we struggled at The Farm Track today would be an understatement. After taking a few weeks off we struggled everywhere but thankfully we were resilient if nothing else. Hot laps and qualifying didn't go our way as we were way off the pace and qualified last in both heavy and super heavy BUT we made some adjustments to our Premier V3 and rebounded with a hard fought win in super heavy and a second place finish in heavy.
