World Class.
Culture.

CULTURE is key, it builds a LOVE for the game.
Once a LOVE is formed. ACCESS is essential, if ALL kids who LOVE the game have ACCESS then DEVELOPMENT begins! Once DEVLOPMENT is the focus and mission, WE must then NURTURE the player, as each player has a unique background, has a different experience level and personality. PROGRESSION is next, now the DEVELOPMENT that has been implemented, the rewards of the game will be achieved. Now, SUCCESS has been achieved, now WE MODEL the behavior across the country! Once WE MODEL these behaviors, WE have finally DEVELOPED WORLD CLASS PLAYERS!!

THAT U.S. SOCCER, IS HOW YOU BUILD....

CULTURE.

I have been up most of the night just thinking about the possibility of an opportunity to change the future generation of players in the U.S.

This is what I will bring...

I won't tell you what I don't have; licenses, certifications, etc.

But I will tell you what I do have...

I am not a VISIONARY.

But, I have always had a knack or skill to see things happening in this game, that others do not. This is not a dig or a disrespect to others. My father taught me different. What it is, is a naturality to the game. I don't have to think, it comes more naturally.

But that doesn't mean I am not a thinker...

Just the oposite, it's ALL I AM.

I started La Escuela (The School), it teaches the game to youth players in a way that they have probably never been exposed to. For me, this part is crucial and critical in the development and success of world class players.

In this clip, don't watch the goal, don't watch the pass, watch the body language...

That's the level of expertise, passion, intensity and fight I would bring to the U.S. Soccer Federation.

Did you see it...

It's Latauro in the first brief second of this clip. Watch his body language, watch how the GOAT analyzing the situation, sees the angle needed for the cross. So what does he do...he sees the hand raised from Latauro, he then knows he has to create the angle for the pass...

The rest is history.

Increible.

That is DEVELOPMENT.

That is WORLD CLASS.

Maldonado Fútbol Academy would like to welcome Cayden to the Academy family!!

This is Cayden's first year on a team! He is very excited to begin the process of becoming a complete player. He has great speed and change of pace in his dribbling.

We will focus on his use of his eyes, his balance, dribbling with a dominant foot (primarily), and also; we will develop his spatial awareness. We also use multiple simulti to challenge the player's brain cognitively in a multitude of ways. This allows the player to develop more "completely".

I want players who can react to the big moments of a match. I want players who have the confidence and ability to make their own decisions, I want players who aren't afraid to make a mistake, I want players who will be a part of a culture.

I want players just like, Cayden!!

Grande laburo!

U.S. Soccer

After reading Henry Bushnell's articles on how U.S. Soccer is changing the landscape of the game in America. The question is; will those changes be the necessary ones to create a truly world class futbol environment. That is the GOAL! That only happens when DEVELOPMENT is put at the forefront of the mission.

If your goal is to further coaching... then players will suffer. If a focus is put on "how the governments will step up"... then you're missing out on players and their DEVELOPMENT.

Mr. Bushnell's article states, that U.S. Soccer brings in more than $300 million in revenue every year...so money is not the problem. This money could soar to even greater numbers with investments from private investors, major corporations, etc. we could be talking about an investment of over $500 million for soccer in America. That's a lot of cash.

The question is; how is it spent?

Is the focus DEVELOPMENT?

Well, if the majority of money is not invested in the future generation, then what are we really saying??

I wasn't invited to the meeting in Atlanta a couple months back, at the beautiful Arthur Blank facility...I get it, I'm a nobody.

Did you all discuss how to get lower-income players more access?

Did you all figure out if this a "closed ecosystem" or is it a "hybrid". It's not "open" because, from Henry's article: pay to play is NOT ending...ok. But how do you make it affordable across the board so (WE) don't miss out on the next great talent, just because their financial situation isn’t perfect.

We need a "system" that DEVELOPS and CREATES world class talent.

I know what it takes, I created my own system. My system takes a youth player and transforms them. It makes them more technical. It makes them more productive. It makes them more competitive. It makes them more efficient. It makes them feel more comfortable. It makes them more confident.

They see the value in the "process", it's difficult. There are so many hurdles that I create for players to overcome.

That is the Game.

That is Life.

You do this at the highest levels of talent and ability. Now, you have truly created a world class environment for players to grow, develop and thrive.

Here is my idea...
Ages 4-12. Keep it LOCAL. Keep it simple. Let kids develop but most importantly; let them have FUN and grow a love for the game. This can be done by all local, state and other community groups.

This also creates "CULTURE". That's the key to creating a community of fútbol fans and a generation of young kids who want to play the game for the LOVE of the game!

Ages 12+.
This begins the truly "competitive" stage of a player's developmental process. Now, if chosen; players can travel. Compete against other cities, if it's a rural area there are ways to make it work. But here is where the DEVELOPMENT and focus is now centered on the skills and ability to play at a world class level.

15+.
Now it's who is ready.
Who can compete on a World Class stage?

I would like to say a huge congratulations and thank you to all the players, parents, family, friends and supporters of Maldonado Fútbol Academy!

Over the past 3+ years, I have created an experience. That experience is all about developing the “complete” player. As you all may know, I suffered a devastating lower leg injury as a youth player. Unfortunately, my medical treatment was not sufficient; thus ending my dream of one day playing for La Selección. I was so close. The only kid from America to ever play on the concrete, grass, and gravel canchas of Argentina! 🇦🇷 Vamos!!

No matter what happens in the future, I will always be a part of your journey and your development. If for some reason I am not there to support and witness your success, just remember; it’s about YOU!
You did it!!
I gave you the recipe.
But, YOU made it!!

And for that I say, VAMOS!!!!

Estoy listo U.S. Soccer!

The process of becoming the most complete player for a high school aged player is different than a developing 9 or 10 year old. The methodology is the same but the “process" is altered to reflect the additional factors and stresses that a teenaged player may face in a match.

In this exercise, Kiley is working circuit training with her Proprioception! She has multiple stimuli happening at one time. This gives the player a cognitive advantage in the game. The change is subtle, the player will not notice instantly.

But over time and through repetition, the exercises' difficulty decreases. Giving the player a level of vision, balance, control and confidence that is unmatched!

This is how you DEVELOP a youth player.

Increible laburo, Kylie!!!

When 9 year olds are beginning the process of becoming a complete player; Proprioception is the key piece that will truly unlock the potential of the player.

My goal in developing youth players is always creating the most challenging situations, this builds a level of confidence that is needed to play at the highest levels of the game.

I tell every player I have ever trained with, there is NO such thing as a mistake; you are a developing player... just focus on the process!

Vaaamos, Abby!!!

Genevieve and Marielle played their best game of their high school careers tonight as GRC vs Scott Co.

Marielle scored her first goal of her HS career!
It was a 25 yard blast that left the Keeper with zero chance of saving it!!

Increíble!!!

But it wasn’t the almost goal from Genevieve’s Olympico corner kick or Mari’s goal that stood out!!

Excelente!!

It was the use of their eyes. Everytime they received the ball, they controlled it, looked up quickly and made a decision. That is fútbol!!

Vaaamos chicas!!!
