I wanted to take some time to talk about life... and curveballs it throws you while working on a goal or training plan. You find yourself excited for a goal and ready to start training and maybe you get a good way into your training plan... then BAM! Life happens... maybe an injury, illness, or something else gets in your way of your training and derails your momentum. During this process maybe you lost your motivation to get back out there or you feel like you have lost all of the progress made... How do you overcome this?
Personally I have been rocked this year really hard by personal medical issues, death of family
Pets, hurricanes, and job loss ( I literally couldn't make up the year I have had).... but never the less, I'm registered for some big things coming up so I have to get back out there. That first work out back or first run back can feel
Intimating or daunting- but I promise you... you will feel so accomplished and so much better once it gets done... The motivation and excitement will come back. I started looking forward to my next race-cation and planning what will come during that trip which got my butt into gear-
What do you do to get out of the funk?!
The running community is such an amazing support commmnity to be a part of... let's all be there for eachother and build eachother up!
