As commissioner my goal has always been to give any kid that wants to play basketball the opportunity to do so and a safe place to do it. A place they don't have to be perfect. A place where someone is always smiling and has their back. A place to learn, make mistakes and grow. A place where its ok to be a competitor and show those emotions when they don't win and without judgment but also show the excitement they do win!
I can't make everybody happy, its impossible BUT I always give it my best! Betterment, the betterment of the sport for the youth is what i can about most so when I'm finished I left it better than how I got it!
I've got to say that this season...was the best season yet! Regular season had great games every saturday & tournament week was one for the books. 1 point wins, overtime wins and even a double overtime game!! The determination these kids showed this season while putting all they learned throughout the season on display is what its all about!! One for the books!!
Thank you to every single coach that volunteered to devote countless hours to the wonderful youth of this community.
Big S/O to my nephew Jaylen, my son Chris and his friend Hayes for giving some of your Saturdays to me and those Middle School youngins basketball games. Them kids may not remember how many games they won or what the scores were but they'll remember the referee that checked on them after a fall, the referee that celebrated their good play or that told them to keep their head up and the referee that took the time to tie their shoes!! I had a blast laughing and joking with you guys! Appreciate each of you truly.
