Meet Pro Angler Jeff Sprague who will be competing in Major League Fishing Bass Pro tour in town on March 26-29.

Think of a Bass Pro Tour angler who’s finished in the Top 10 in Angler of the Year points every year but one since its inception in 2019. Did Jeff Sprague come to mind? He should have. Sprague finished runner-up in points in the BPT’s inaugural season, then followed that up by finishing fourth and eighth, respectively, the next two seasons. He’s finished 10th each of the last three seasons – the very model of consistency.

IYKYK: Before his days as a full-time bass pro and cattle rancher, Sprague honorably served four years in the United States Army as a military police officer during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

READY FOR IT: It’s no surprise Sprague is most looking forward to Heavy Hitters at Florida’s Orange Lake in 2026. He’s twice landed big bass at Heavy Hitters, most recently a 6-pound, 2-ounce brute in 2025 at Smith Mountain Lake that earned him a cool $100,000.
