Su Dog wanted to get involved with some community service this summer and we're so grateful to Linda and the Willow Area Community Organization for putting together this project! Some of our Su Dog board members joined a wonderful group of volunteers to spruce up the Newman's dog park! Thank you to everyone who came together to make this project happen 🐕🐾🩷

Newman Park Update!
A thank you shout out to: Chuck Caspar for his engineered solution to the spring melt swimming hole at the dog park entrance!! and to Leddy & Kori of the SuDog 300 Sled Dog Race Board; Robin, Roland, Gordon and Don of Willow Church of the Rock; and Bill, Wendy, Vic, Marty, Chuck and Laurel from the Youth Forum committee & community for the the wheelbarrowed gravel to fix that low spot!!! And last, special thanks to Newman's for the donated load of gravel!! Only took us a little over an hour with all these great volunteers! Thank you all! Linda Oxley, YF chair

We are grieving the tragedy of the Caswell 27 with the rest of the community. This week we sent a statement to over a dozen offices requesting justice for Woody, Birdie and their 25 kennelmates who we lost this winter.

Final Race Results are in!

Our Su Dog crew has been busy with Jr. Iditarod and Sr. Iditarod, but we have the Su Dog 300 race results finalized in a pretty spreadsheet full of numbers! All you math nerds are welcome to join us in looking at numbers (yay!). Once our vet team is back from Iditarod (and has taken multiple naps) we will have veterinary stats!

We want to give a shoutout to the Petersville Community NPC group for all their hard work on trails that the Su Dog 300 got to enjoy for the race! They not only groom a number of trails in the Petersville area that the race uses, but they used their snowcat to groom the entirety of the Forks doglot! There's been past years where that doglot was soft to run through...but this year it was BEAUTIFULLY firm! Our knees (and the dog's shoulders) are so thankful!

One thank you we heard over and over from mushers, and one we echo whole heartedly, is for our trail crew!! Mushers agreed the trail was a great challenge and was very well set.

These guys were so dedicated to the ambitious route. They set and pulled stakes, groomed - including late Friday night snow drifts, and scouted out many miles of trail to shape this new route. And thank you to our board member Kori for organizing the crew!
