Race Recap 9/4/2026

Another night of never giving up for the #83. R.J. unfortunately found trouble in his Heat Race, putting the team behind the eight ball early. R.J. and the team from RRC went to work and got the car repaired enough to make the Feature, allowing us to start from the back of the 21 car field.

From the back of the field, R.J. fought his way forward and brought the #83 home with an 11th-place finish with a hindered race car. It wasn’t the night we had hoped for, but the determination of this team never wavered. We’ll take the positives, add another page to the notebook, and keep pushing forward. 🏁💪

Race Recap 8/28/2026

A tough night, but plenty of positives for the #83. After a long week of putting the Stang back together following the massive hit the week before, she came back fast as ever. R.J. started on the pole, but a power steering issue at the drop of the green cost us the lead. R.J. got up on the wheel and fought his way back up to 2nd before a late-race caution for a single-car spin.

Restarting on the outside, hard racing and heavy contact on the restart unfortunately resulted in a left-rear tire going down, sending the #83 into a spin in Turn 3 and collecting a few other cars.

It wasn’t the finish we wanted, but the speed was there. We’re continuing to build our notebook, learn from every night, and get closer to our ultimate goal—putting the Stang in Victory Lane. 🏁🔥

Race Recap 8/21/2026

What a wild night for Surdell Motorsports! R.J. and 83 won his Heat Race, while Duane brought the 88 home 2nd in his heat.

R.J. started 2nd in the Feature but unfortunately got caught up in a multi-car accident, ending his night with a 19th-place finish.

Duane started the Feature from the pole and led the first 13 laps before crossing the line 2nd. Following post-race inspection, the Feature winner was disqualified, moving Duane and the 88 into 1st place! 🏆

A night of highs and lows, but we’re incredibly proud of both drivers and the entire team. Congratulations to Duane and the 88 on the win! 🏁🏆

Travis Hydar was disqualified from the win tonight in the Limited Late Model feature at Stafford Speedway, giving the victory to Duane Provost. Hydar was penalized for: Unapproved modifications to front suspension components (Sway bar, Sway bar mount, Upper A frame mounts and Jacking bolt locations).Rich Hammann was moved to second and Aaron Plemons to third.
