Kats Alumni working with Hot Corner!

Over the last few months, many of our athletes have already had the opportunity to work with Ethan Stevens, and we couldn’t be more excited about the impact he’s making at Hot Corner Athletics.
A Lockport native and former collegiate player at Erie Community College and Ashland University, Ethan brings a unique combination of playing experience, baseball knowledge, and passion for developing young athletes.
Whether he’s working with hitters, pitchers, or fielders, Ethan’s focus is always the same: helping athletes build confidence, improve fundamentals, and learn how to compete the right way.
What we’ve appreciated most is his ability to connect with players of all ages. Ethan understands what it takes to advance through the game because he’s lived it himself, and he’s committed to helping the next generation of athletes reach their goals.
If you’re looking to develop your skills, improve your baseball IQ, and work with someone who genuinely cares about player development, Ethan is a great resource for athletes throughout Western New York.
We’re proud to have Ethan on staff and look forward to seeing the continued impact he’ll have on our players.

A few years ago we started the HR Chain tradition in Kats Nation. When a player hits a home run they get the chain, and they keep it until the next HR is hit *OR* until the season ends. This season Jacob Scibetta took the chain first and it was passed around 22 different time to 10 different hitters ending with it ending the season with his older brother Adam at the end of the season.
We didn’t get em all, but we got video of a good chunk of our teams HRs this season, which brings us to our 2026 installment of the Kats Nation HR Chain Gang!!!

2026 Post Season Awards - Coaches Award - Adam Scibetta - Outfield
The coaches award is given to the player every year that is described as a player who “does everything right”.
This player shows up everyday to do their job to the best of their ability, absent of excuses, leading by example no matter the situation
Adam, aka “Unc” has spent the last two season doing everything right, every day. He is the first player to show up and the last to leave. Whether he was coming in for extra hitting, starting late to work with a teammate, or making sure the dugout was cleaned up and nothing was left behind…Unc has been a staple in for 2 years. He’s also had a pretty damn good career with us - .335 career average, 12 dbl, 6 triples, 4HR, 37 RBI, 66R, & 29 SB. He’s also made some of the most electric plays you may ever see in the outfield, including a catch going over the outfield fence in our playoff series win vs Cayuga this season.
All the highlights and stats aside, replacing a young man like Unc is not going to be an easy task and he will be missed here in Kats Nation…but we v know he’s going to have great success on and off the field simply because of the type of young man he is. Congrats, Unc!

2026 post season award - Team MVP - Tyler Pagano, SS
Normally your MVP award goes to your top arm or a big bat that leads the offense. This season the Kats had plenty of offensive players that this award could have gone to, but we spent a good chunk of the season looking for someone to steady our infield defensively. We knew this guy could play defense but we had him penciled in at second base. When the team needed him most, Pags slid over to shortstop and never looked back. Pags had 165 total chances this season and made only 5 errors posting a .970 fielding % for us and turned 15 double plays. Pags also hit .328 with 6 doubles, 24 RBI, 37 RS, a 30/16 walk to K ratio, and 11 stolen bases.

The boys got together one last time tonight for our annual end of season dinner. This group was something special. Probably as close as a team can be. It was a great way to send our Sophomores on their way to their next stop in life and to send our freshman home for the summer ready to come back to work.
Special shout out to Bobby J’s for hosting us tonight!
