What an incredible two days at our 2nd Annual Faith & Fundamentals Basketball Camp! We were blessed to have 37 campers who came ready to work hard, learn, compete, and grow both on and off the court.
Our camp verse was:
“For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”
1 Timothy 4:8
A special thank you to Dale Parsley and Adam Myers for sharing powerful devotional messages with our campers. Both speakers did an outstanding job helping our athletes understand that while physical training is important for improving our basketball skills, our relationship with God is even more important and impacts every area of our lives.
Throughout camp, our athletes were challenged not only to work hard on the court, but also to grow spiritually. Each camper was encouraged to spend as much time reading their Bible each day as they spent at camp, along with setting aside personal one-on-one time in prayer with God.
Thank you to all of our campers, parents, coaches, and volunteers who helped make this year’s camp such a success. It was exciting to see the growth, effort, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm displayed by every athlete. We pray that the lessons learned these two days will continue to impact these young people long after the final whistle.
Keep working on your game, but more importantly, keep growing in your faith.
