It’s hard to comprehend the news… Rodney was a person who challenged others to look deeper inside themselves to be a better firefighter and friend. He was incredibly kind to me through my fire photography career. In front of my lens his ability to control chaos and do so in a calm, stoic maner was remarkable, striking. He was one of a kind. We will miss you Captain Rodney Gurren (retired).
