Last call, registration was to close March 8th. A few had tech Issues with clay target go so we will leave registration open until 8pm tonight, March 10th.
Registration is now open for the spring 2025 Williamston Hornet Clay Target Team for students grade 6-12. Male and female. No prior shooting experience Is required. Handicap accessible.
Registration for Williamston runs from now until 8 pm March 10, 2025.
What you need to know:
This Is the safest and most Inclusive sport In the USA.
This Is a club sport, coaches are not paid and the school district does not fund any portion of our expenses

Select the Athlete Management System (AMS)
Create an account or use last years sign in to register and pay the $40 to the USA Clay Target League. This includes membership to and insurance from the legaue.
Use win676 for team ID
After you register it will come to the coaches for approval.
There is a MANDATORY range safety day Sunday March 16 at 3 pm at our home field which is the Michigan Trap Association in Mason. No one can participate without attending this day.
Every student must complete the USA Clay Target student athlete firearm eduction (SAFE) course online. If It was completed for last years team It does not need to be completed again. All coaches also complete this course and the coaches course.

send completed student certificate to [email protected] before March 12. Hunters safety is not adequate or required, students must complete the online SAFE course.
We will practice Sunday at MTA at 6 pm. We will shoot weekly scored competition Wednesdays at MTA at 6pm. Due to Spring Break, our first practice will be Wednesday April 2
We will shoot 100 rounds for practice and 50 rounds for competition. All tournaments are 100 rounds.
You must have a your own shot gun.
Costs:
On or before March 16, 2025 you must pay $450 to Williamston High School Clay Target Team. Paid by Venmo -Trap or check to team at range day or check to team dropped of at Allstate-Cliff Hart 138 W Grand River Ave, Williamston, MI
The $450 is non-refundable and includes:
1. 9 weeks (practice and competition) of 150 clay targets (1350) this Is an MTA cost to cover clays, they do not charge us additional to use their world class facilities. We are extremely gratful to be able to use MTA for our home course and MTA Is the course for USA High School Clay Traget State and National tournaments.
2. Registration for both MTA’s Spring Fling Tournament and the Michigan High School State Tournament also held at MTA in Mason.
3. Athletes Jersey
In addtion to the $450 team fee, Athletes will need to purchase shot shells, we will again have a vendor to purchase at a discount and tax exempt. Plan $80 ish per $250 rounds. Plan $500 in shot shells
