My office was thrilled to recognize an incredibly talented athlete. We presented Daiton Thompson, a member of the St. John Neumann Golden Knights boys basketball team, with an official House citation for scoring 1,000 career points.

Reaching this milestone isn’t easy, and it was even more challenging for Daiton since he missed nearly half of his sophomore season with injuries.

I look forward to following Daiton’s continued success on and off the court!

Congratulations to senior Daiton Thompson, who was named to the PIAA Class AA All-State 2nd Team! Daiton averaged an area-high 24.1 points per game, adding six rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.4 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game. Daiton, who was named the Mid-Penn Conference MVP, also became the 26th player in school history to top 1,000 career points.
