Registration is now open for the 2nd Annual Wilkes Women’s Open! 🤼‍♀️💛💙

⏰ Wrestling begins at 9:30 a.m.
📍 McHale Athletic Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA

Registration is a two-part online process. Athletes or coaches must complete the registration form and submit payment. Entries are not official until payment is complete.

Celebrating excellence in the classroom and on the mat! 📚🤼‍♀️

During our inaugural season, Grace Riley, Milly Hughes, Alyssa McIntosh, and Carina Rivera earned Scholar All-American!

As we finish our second week of classes and begin Year Two, we are proud of these four student-athletes for their hard work and commitment. Their achievements helped lay the academic foundation for our program during its first year.

We look forward to watching this list continue to grow! 💙💛

Join us this fall at Wilkes University for our Prospect Clinics and train with our coaching staff while getting a feel for our program and campus!

📅 Clinic Dates:

📍 Location: Marts Center, Wilkes University
🕙 Time: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
👥 Who: Boys & Girls, 9th through 12th Grade

This past weekend was a special one for our program.

We wrapped up the year with our end of the year banquet at The Canning House, a great brunch to step back, reflect, and celebrate everything this group has accomplished. It was really special getting everyone together, hearing stories, and just taking in how much this team has grown over the year.

From there, we were recognized at the RailRiders game, another awesome moment for our program and a chance to represent Wilkes Women’s Wrestling in the community.

Year one competing, and this group set the tone.
4 Academic All-Americans, 3 regional placers, and finishing 34th in the country academically. But more than that, it’s the growth, the buy-in, and the way they’ve built this team from the ground up.

Watching these girls grow this year has been special. They’ve pushed each other, supported each other, and created a culture that’s bigger than results.

This is just the beginning of something really special.

End of the season, but not the end of the memories ❤️

Nothing better than getting the team together, relaxing, laughing, and just enjoying each other’s company after a long year of hard work. This group continues to show that what we’re building is bigger than wrestling, it’s about connection, trust, and being there for each other.

Proud of this team and the bond we’ve created. This is what it’s all about.

Year one of competing is in the books for 2025 to 2026, and what a year it has been for Wilkes Women’s Wrestling.

We wrapped up Regionals in Elmira, NY, proud of how much this group has grown from day one to now. The improvement on the mat has been incredible, but what stands out even more is how they show up for each other. The cheering, the energy, the support in every match, that is what building a program is all about.

Three Colonels placed at Regionals:

117 – Grace Riley, 6th
138 – Milly Hughes, 6th
180 – Carina Rivera, 6th

Proud is an understatement. The standard has been set, and we are just getting started.
