🏀 Parents in Wichita,Ks and surrounding areas!🏀

At Shoot It Better Basketball Academy, we believe confidence comes from preparation, and lasting improvement starts with fundamentals.

We take time to teach shooting form, footwork, ball handling, passing, finishing, and man-to-man defense. We want players to understand spacing, make good decisions, and learn how to play together, not just memorize plays.

Our standards are simple:
✅ Show up consistently and ready to work.
✅ Listen, ask questions, and be willing to learn.
✅ Respect coaches, teammates, and the game.
✅ Give effort, respond to coaching, and support one another.

Mistakes are part of learning. We’ll encourage your daughter, correct her, and challenge her in a family environment where she knows she belongs. We ask parents to partner with us through consistent attendance, communication, and patience with the process.

Our commitment is to teach with purpose. Every drill should help players build skills they can use in a game. Our goal is to develop confident, disciplined players with strong fundamentals and a deeper understanding of basketball—skills they can carry into each level they pursue.

We make no promises except development, and that takes commitment from coaches, players, and families.

Players….and Parents….Fall in love with the process not just positive results!!

I’m looking to grow Shoot It Better Basketball Academy and connect with coaches who want to learn, teach, and help young players develop. I’m also looking for players of any grade who are ready to work and learn the game at a higher level.

Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about teaching shooting, footwork, fundamentals, and how to help players grow in confidence. I want to share what’s worked for the players I’ve coached so more coaches can bring those lessons to their own teams. I know I still have plenty to learn, too, and I want to build alongside people who care about getting better.

I can’t coach every player myself. But together, we can build a program that reaches more kids and gives more coaches the tools to help them.

If you’re a coach interested in joining Shoot It Better, or a family looking for a place where your player can learn and grow, let’s talk about what we could build together.

Sometimes new opportunity means new opposition. Not everything God asks us to do along our Hoop journey will be comfortable.

🏀 Wichita parents: Shoot It Better Basketball Academy is welcoming boys and girls in grades 3–6!

If your child loves basketball and wants to grow, bring them to the gym. We teach the details that carry over to games: shooting, footwork, ball handling, and learning how to play with confidence.

Whether your player is just getting started or ready for a bigger challenge, we’ll meet them where they are and help them put in the work. We’re building shot makers, not shot takers.

🏀 LOOKING FOR 3RD–5TH GRADE GIRLS WHO WANT TO LEARN BASKETBALL! 🏀

Parents, if your daughter is interested in basketball but needs a place where she can learn the game, build confidence, and develop the right way, we’d love to have her come check out Shoot It Better Basketball Academy.

We’re currently looking to add 3rd, 4th & 5th grade girls to our program.

She DOES NOT have to already be a great basketball player. Beginners are welcome. We’re looking for girls who are willing to listen, learn, work hard, and have fun getting better.

At Shoot It Better, our focus is DEVELOPMENT:

🏀 Proper shooting fundamentals
🏀 Footwork & ball handling
🏀 Passing & decision-making
🏀 Man-to-man defense
🏀 Basketball IQ
🏀 Confidence & competitiveness
🏀 Learning how to play the game the RIGHT way

At these ages, we’re not interested in rushing the process or chasing trophies every weekend. We want to build a foundation that gives these girls an opportunity to become really good basketball players as they get older.

We’ve built a great group of young girls, and we’re looking for more families who believe in development, consistency, and letting kids grow.
