For some reason, I'm really missin this guy today. He qualified at Indy 18 yrs in a ROW! We all know his history there. Of all of those years and cars, this first one I like the best: A.J's Agajanian Special, 1960.

Seein this pic again sure brings back a lot of memories, all connected to the short time here in Wichita Falls that I met and got to know one of my all time racin heros's: Lloyd Ruby. Because of him I also got to meet some others, including this guy at our WF Lloyd Ruby Celebration, 2013. I of course already knew some of his racing history.
When I mentioned to Bobby Unser that I had raced at Albuquerque's 'Speedway Park' and twice at Pikes' Peak; boy, that unleashed a torrent of memories from him. What caught my attention was this statement: "Rob, Pikes Peak was the scariest race coarse I was Ever on!" He also shared some humorous memories of Frank Crosby, 'legendary promoter of Speedway Park. Photo by good friend, truckin and racin buddy: 'Tbone Terry Morford.
