⚡️ Weather & Lightning Policy ⚡️

For the safety of all swimmers, lessons may be canceled or temporarily paused if lightning is detected within 15 miles of our facility or thunder is heard.

We closely monitor weather conditions using Lightning Pro. Cancellation decisions will depend on radar activity, storm movement, and the expected duration of the weather event. While I never want to cancel lessons, I also have to do what is best for the kids and myself to ensure everyone’s safety.

Lessons will resume 30 minutes after the last lightning strike or thunder event.

While our pool is indoors, safety will always remain our top priority. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to provide a safe environment for every child.

Some kids come in cautious… this 2-year-old came in READY 😂 “Let me go!”

Because he’s already so comfortable in the water, we’re slowing things down and focusing on proper technique, control, and building a strong swim-float-swim sequence. He keeps us laughing every lesson and is having the best time learning.

We’ll be back in a few weeks to show his progress!

Most parents don’t realize this…

After swim-float-swim, your child has built an incredible foundation—but without consistency, it’s very normal to see regression over time.

The swimmers who are the most confident and consistent are the ones who continue getting in the water regularly.

That’s why I’ve created FinsUp Swim Club
A weekly group class for graduates to maintain, strengthen, and grow their skills.

Why do we recommend maintenance lessons?

Because swimming is a skill—and like any skill, it needs to be practiced to stay strong.

This little guy started with me a year ago, and through consistent maintenance, he’s not only kept his skills… he’s improved them.

Float, breathe, swim—on his own. 🙌

Without maintenance, we often see regression, especially in young swimmers. A few refreshers throughout the year can make all the difference in keeping these life-saving skills second nature.

Consistency builds confidence. Confidence builds safety.
