RACE RECAP! 🏁

• Nicholson Speedway – Saturday 9/5
Remi had another AMAZING night at Nicholson! After some awesome racing under the lights, she finished the night 1st place out of 11 karts!
I waited entirely too long to post this recap - and by waiting entirely too long I mean I got sidetracked 2539363253 times - so before I start making up details I think I remember… moving right along!
• Capital Karting Challenge – Summit Point
Saturday - 9/12:
This weekend brought another new challenge for Remi with a different track layout and a new hairpin turn that she just couldn’t quite figure out at first. She qualified 3rd out of 4 and went into the final still trying to find her speed and confidence through that section.
But, as always, she fought HARD! She kept digging, kept learning and battled her way to a 2nd-place finish! 🥈
Sunday 9/13:
Remi came back Sunday still determined to figure this track out! She qualified 2nd, but during the heat she was run off the track and ended up finishing 3rd.
That heat race definitely got in her head a little bit. She fought some demons, some frustration and some doubt — but if there’s one thing we’ve learned about this girl, it’s that you can never count her out.
Because then came the FINAL… 🔥
AND REMI ABSOLUTELY DOMINATED!
She trusted herself. She trusted her kart. And she DROVE.
Remi took 1st place with a 5.5-second lead and laid down the fastest lap of the entire session! 🥇🔥🏁
Talk about a SWEET victory!
This weekend was so much bigger than another trophy. We watched Remi take a HUGE step forward in trusting herself, trusting her kart and learning that one bad race doesn’t determine the next one. Watching her shake it off, come back and drive the way we know she can was probably our favorite win yet. 🫶🏻
A HUGE thank you to Brandon Hollenbaugh with Evolution X Karting for his continued dedication, incredible motor work and everything he pours into helping Remi succeed. And another huge thank you to Zach Linsell with Linsell Speed Shop for the constant coaching, knowledge, encouragement and support. We are so thankful to have you both in her corner!
And congratulations to all of our friends and fellow karters! There was some AWESOME racing this weekend, and we’re so lucky to get to make these memories with such an amazing group of people.
