Wednesday, August 26th, the JV Football team traveled to Dearborn High School for its season opener, a tough non-conference game. The Eagles came home victorious, defeating Dearborn, 21-8.

The Eagles came out on fire recovering the ball on the kick off to start the game, followed by one of two touchdown passes from Quincy Evans (10th) to Cody Lewinski (10th) to put Lakeland up 7-0 in the first 25 seconds of the game. On defense, the Eagles had multiple stops and tackles in the backfield by Brock Heidisch (10th), Jackson Meador (10th), Austin Cornyn (9th), and Kaven Maxwell-Stowell (10th).

Collin Flevaris (10th) ran all over and around the Dearborn defense and was able to score on a touchdown run late in the game to put the dagger in Dearborn, putting the Eagles up 21-8. Running backs Brennan Baker (10th) and Bryce Borders (9th) marched the football up and down the field all game to give our offense chances to score. Freshman kicker Jack Hendrickson was 3 for 3 for PATs.

The JV team will play next Wednesday at LHS against North Farmington in its first home game of the season. Please come out and support.

🚨 A MASSIVE THANK YOU IS IN ORDER TO THE WINDOW WASHERS! 🚨

Kyle Trombley & Brandon Mullin came out to Lakeland High School at 8:00 AM Friday morning to power wash the stadium bleachers.

What started early Friday turned into an 18-HOUR JOB, finally wrapping up around 2:00 AM Saturday morning.

That is an unbelievable commitment to our school and our community.

Kyle, a Lakeland alumnus, showed exactly what it means to take pride in where you come from and give back to the community that helped shape you.

The stadium our programs get to call home looks BRAND NEW!

We are asking EVERYONE in the Lakeland community to help us show some love to The Window Washers for their incredible support of Lakeland Football and Lakeland Athletics.
