Its that time of year again! Ridge Riders, mount up.

It’s getting real, y’all! Athlete registration is now open in Pit Zone.

Coaches, you can begin inviting new and retuning riders to the platform. Parents, if you’re new to the league, reach out to your team director or head coach to learn more about Pit Zone, our online athlete & coach management system.

We can’t wait to see you all out on the trails very soon!

Greetings after our return from NICA Eastern Regionals in Fair Hill, Md., Jack, Bo, Braydn, Brayden, Ryan, Coleby, Ben and Darcie all came to Fair Hill and NICA's Eastern Regional Championships to play, they each rode great races that they each also finished, and every single one of them came away with something to celebrate. Top to bottom, this was the most competitive group of racers that the Ridge Riders have brought to Easterns, and they were a truly fun and inspiring group to cheer for yesterday. In addition to 2 top 10 finishes (Coleby - 7th JV3; Ryan - 9th JV1), a 12th place finish while fighting a glitching derailleur the entire race (Ben JV3), and several very competitive other finishes, we also need to take a second and say congratulations to Bo Blake because yesterday was the last race of his NICA career. Bo had a great race yesterday, too, improving lap times by 6 minutes compared to last year, and moving up 20 places from where he started. Though we hope to see him next year as a coach, congrats to Bo on a great NICA career and also for being a great teammate.

The WV Ridge Riders would like to give a big thanks to Grand Vue Park for hosting our first ever West Virginia Interscholastic Cycling League race in the Northern Panhandle. Thank you Cassie Smith for believing in us and working so hard for all these kids. If it weren't for you starting all of this we would never have such a amazing mountain bike family throughout West Virginia. Your vision 8 years ago has inspired hundreds of kids and parents to get out on bikes and become some of West Virginia's finest athletes. When talking to our park about our league, its easy to say that we have the BEST and most respectful kids and families of any sport.

Thank you to all of our teams and riders for coming out to our venue. Although mother nature had different plans, you boys and girls put on a amazing show for all of your fans. We are upset that the the high school boys never got to show off your incredible skills and speed, but your safety and keeping you boys riding forever is #1. We appreciate everyone of you who came out. You boys and girls represent West Virginia in such a amazing way. You are the future of this sport, keep on riding, having fun, and inspiring new riders.

We'd also like to thank all of of amazing sponsors and businesses that believed in us and helped make all of this weekend possible.

Although there was an official way in the rule book to settle a 2 way tie between teammates and good friends in JV3 Boys, when you ride for the team who leads the league in total team fun, you find a better way to break the tie. There will be more congrats to come, but congrats to Coleby and Ben on a phenomenal race season. Two race wins a piece for each of them, each finishing second to the other in the races they did not win. And congrats to Coleby on being victorious in the leg wrestling tiebreaker to determine the season champ.
