IHSAA Unified Track & Field Sectionals – Valparaiso
May 23, 2026
What an incredible way to close out the 2026 season! While we finished with a 4th place team finish and didn’t advance to Regionals next week, this team showed HEART, determination, and growth all season long. We walked away with a LONG list of personal records and top finishes — and we could not be prouder of this team!
Long Jump
⭐ K***n placed 3rd in his flight with a PR of 13’7”
⭐ Travis jumped a PR of 14’4”
⭐ Tess placed 3rd in her flight with a PR of 11’6”
⭐ Brody placed 5th
Shot Put
⭐ Zach B. placed 1st in his flight
⭐ Shane placed 2nd in his flight
⭐ Connor placed 5th in his flight
⭐ Skylar placed 8th in her flight
100 Meter Dash
⭐ Addy placed 2nd in her heat with a PR of 15.44 seconds
⭐ Connor placed 2nd in his heat
⭐ Kyleigh and K***n both placed 5th in their heats
400 Meter Dash
⭐ Jack placed 2nd in his heat with a PR of 1:07.77
⭐ Mercedes placed 3rd in her heat with a PR of 1:23.17
⭐ Ben placed 3rd in his heat
⭐ Trey placed 7th in his heat
Girls 4x100 Relay
Chloe, Kelsey, Bella, and Addy placed 2nd and crushed their season-best time with a 1:17.55!
Boys 4x100 Relay
Brody, Jack, Travis, and Ben placed 4th while beating their top season time with an amazing 56.42 seconds!
This team represented KV with pride, positivity, and teamwork all season long. So proud of every athlete, partner, coach, and supporter who made this season unforgettable!

That’s a wrap for the 2026 Unified Track Season. We missed advancing to regionals by 2 POINTS!
2 POINTS!!! Ugh!
We are going to celebrate this amazing season together and Rita and I will begin strategizing for next year!

3rd annual Kickball game vs our Kougar Baseball Team- WE are the CHAMPIONS- 3rd year in a row!!

This past Wednesday night Unified Track had their last regular season meet! Another chilly night as we traveled to Munster to take on the Mustangs.

Shot Put and Long Jump were scored as a team event rather than by flights.

Overall between both teams:
🏅 K***n placed 1st in Shot Put
🥈 Connor placed 2nd in Shot Put
🏅 Brody placed 1st in Long Jump
🥉 Jack placed 3rd in Long Jump
