A little girl with a dream!
Lizzy bounced up to me at an event: “Are you the new people with sled dogs? I heard you had puppies?”
A few weeks later she ran her first scooter run. A few weeks after that she ran her first The UP200, Midnight Run, and Jack Pine 30 Dryland Dash as a scholarship recipient.
That winter she was gifted a youth sled and got to experience dog sledding on snow.
The next year she raced Tahquamenon’s youth race and the Copperdog 15.
Two years later she’s ready for more miles and is planning to train for her first 30 mile race. She manages her own small kennel. Taking care of 5 sled dogs, one retired old lady, and a house dog on top of school and a part time job!
A girl with determination!
