Weather conditions were wet and windy this past weekend. I think bass get in a little funk with the cold days, wind and rain. Water temperatures are in the low 60's and we didn't see many bass on their beds. We did find them close, but in a little deeper water. With the wind blowing, they were chasing and would eat moving baits. Once the wind stopped, they stopped playing. Don't give up, just adjust your baits or locations. Tight lines

Current conditions now in Maine - Bass are in all three stages: prespawn, spawn, and post spawn. Bluegills are now on beds as well. The fishing has been fantastic this spring.
