Hi SIOV Community,

While summer is just getting started, preparations for Year Two of Set It Off Volleyball are already well underway.

Over the past several months, we have been planning facilities, evaluating competition opportunities, recruiting coaches, and incorporating feedback from our inaugural season as we prepare for another exciting year of volleyball.

We're looking forward to welcoming both returning and new families this fall.

Here's what's happening at SIOV.

📋 Season Planning Underway

Planning for the 2026–2027 season is in full swing.

Our upcoming season will once again run from November through March, providing athletes with a fun, development-focused environment to learn the game, build confidence, and create lasting friendships.

We are currently finalizing facilities and expect a schedule similar to last season, with weekday practices and Saturday scrimmages and competitions.

Additional program details will be shared as registration approaches.

🏐 Registration Opens in July

Registration for the 2026–2027 season is almost here.

Returning Families

Registration will open during the first week of July.

New Families

Registration will open to all new families one week later.

This season, SIOV will offer four grade-based programs:

3rd Grade & Younger
4th Grade
5th Grade
6th Grade

Additional information regarding schedules, fees, locations, and registration procedures will be released soon.

🎯 We Heard Your Feedback

At the conclusion of our inaugural season, we asked families to share feedback about their SIOV experience. Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate.

We were encouraged by the feedback and grateful for the many positive comments regarding our coaching staff, athlete development, communication, and community-focused culture.

We also received valuable suggestions that will help guide our growth moving forward.

🏐 More Competition Opportunities

Many families expressed interest in additional competition opportunities.

As part of our transition to AAU, we expect to offer increased competition opportunities for our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade programs while continuing to prioritize athlete development and a positive player experience.

📈 Player Development & Team Structure

Families shared thoughtful feedback regarding skill-based grouping and team structure.

Our coaching staff is actively evaluating these topics as we prepare for next season. Additional information will be shared when registration details are announced.

📣 Communication & Technology

We are also evaluating new technology and communication platforms to help simplify the family experience and improve information sharing.

More information will be shared as plans are finalized.

🤝 Community & Team Building

One of the strongest themes from the survey was how much families valued the friendships, service opportunities, and sense of community created throughout the season.

We are exploring additional team-building and community-focused activities for next season and look forward to sharing more details in the coming months.

☀️ August Camp Registration Closes Soon

There is still time to register for our All Skills Summer Camp, but registration will close in one week.

📅 August 3–7, 2026

This five-day camp is open to athletes entering grades 3–6 and focuses on developing fundamental volleyball skills in a positive and energetic environment.

Players will be grouped by age and experience level to ensure appropriate instruction and development.

If you're planning to attend, be sure to reserve your spot before registration closes.

👥 Coaches Wanted — Paid Positions

As SIOV grows, we are still looking for a few additional coaches for the upcoming season.

These are paid coaching positions and represent a great opportunity to make a positive impact on young athletes while helping grow the game of volleyball in our community.

Spots are filling quickly for our 2026 Set It Off Volleyball Summer Camp—and we’re getting close to capacity.

If you’ve been thinking about signing up, now’s the time.

This is a week-long, all-skills camp for 3rd–6th grade players focused on:
• Passing, setting, serving, and hitting fundamentals
• Game play and scrimmages throughout the week
• Building confidence in a fun, positive environment

Dates: August 3–7, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Valley Southwoods Freshman High School

We’ve had a strong response already, and once spots are filled, we won’t be able to add more.

Registration is officially open for our 2026 Summer Skills Camp, and we’re excited to get back in the gym with your athletes this August.

This is a weeklong, all-skills camp designed for players entering 3rd–6th grade, focused on building strong fundamentals in a fun, structured, and positive environment.

Camp Details:

Dates: August 3–7, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM daily
Location: Valley Southwoods Freshman High School

Throughout the week, players will work on:

Passing, setting, and serving
Hitting mechanics and footwork
Game awareness and court positioning

Each day will include a mix of skill development, drills, and scrimmage play, giving athletes the chance to apply what they’re learning in real-time.

All participants will receive a Set It Off Volleyball camp t-shirt, and all equipment will be provided.

What players need to bring: Athletic clothing, gym shoes, and a water bottle.

This camp is a great fit for both new players looking to learn the game and returning players who want to keep building their skills heading into the next season.

👉 Spots are limited, and we expect this to fill quickly.

As always, we’re focused on creating an environment where players can grow their confidence, learn the game the right way, and enjoy being part of a team.

Today was truly something special.

What an amazing turnout and what an honor it was to be part of a day like today with our Set It Off Volleyball families.

Between our morning and afternoon volunteer sessions, our players, parents, and coaches came together to prep, cook, package, and distribute 44 breakfast casseroles and more than 200 breakfast burritos that will be delivered to local food pantries serving families in our community.

This day would not have been possible without our incredible partnership with Real Food 4 Kids. Their leadership and commitment to feeding families in need made today’s service work possible, and we are so grateful to work alongside an organization that shares our belief in serving the community.

Seeing our athletes roll up their sleeves and serve others is exactly what Set It Off Volleyball is all about. Volleyball may bring us together, but moments like today remind us that being part of this club means something bigger than the game.

We are so proud of all our team members and their families who showed up today and reminded us what it truly means to be part of SIOV.

During our awards ceremony we also had the chance to celebrate our players with their end-of-season awards and recognize the incredible effort from our Serve-A-Thon fundraiser prize winners. Watching our athletes support one another, celebrate their teammates, and reflect on the season was a powerful reminder of the friendships and memories created along the way.

Today was filled with proud moments, laughter, service, and celebration.

So many memories were made today—and we know there are many more still to come.

As we gather more photos from throughout the day, we will create a full album and share it with everyone. But for now, enjoy a few of the moments captured today.

Thank you to every player, parent, volunteer, coach, and our partners at Real Food 4 Kids who helped make today so meaningful.

At Set It Off Volleyball, we believe great athletes are built through teamwork, character, and service to others—and today our players showed all three.

That’s a wrap on our final practices for our first season of Set It Off Volleyball. 💜🏐

Tonight our 9U, 10U, and 11U teams finished their last practice together, and it was one of those moments that reminds us exactly why this club exists.

We didn’t just run drills tonight.
We laughed.
We played games.
We reflected on the season.

The players sat together and talked about what they loved most — the practices, the scrimmages, learning new skills… and most of all the friendships and teammates they found along the way.

That right there is what Set It Off Volleyball is all about.

This season we watched young athletes:
• learn the game
• grow in confidence
• encourage each other
• support their teammates
• and discover what it means to be part of a team.

For our coaches, nights like tonight are a little bittersweet. Watching these players grow over the season has been an incredible privilege, and it’s hard to believe our first season is already coming to an end.

But we’re not quite done yet.

This weekend we’ll celebrate these amazing players and teams at our Season End Event — coming together one more time for service, recognition, and a chance to celebrate everything these athletes accomplished this season.

To our players — we are so proud of you.

To our parents — thank you for trusting us with your athletes and supporting this journey from day one.

What started as an idea to create something special for youth volleyball in our community has quickly become something bigger than we imagined.

And the best part?

We’re just getting started.

🔥🏐 Tournament Weekend for SIOV! 🏐🔥

Our 10U (4th Grade) and 11U (5th Grade) teams are heading out tomorrow to compete in a tournament hosted by Comet Volleyball Club — and we couldn’t be more proud.

This group has put in a lot of work this season. Lots of practices. Lots of scrimmages. Countless reps at the service line. Learning to call “mine.” Moving to the ball. Encouraging teammates. Growing not just as volleyball players, but as confident young leaders.

As we head into one of our final events of the season, it’s special to pause and recognize just how far they’ve come. The improvement, the smiles, the energy, the team spirit — it’s been incredible to watch.

Tomorrow is about competing hard, supporting one another, and finishing strong. 💪

Today is the day. 💪🏐

It’s Serve-A-Thon time — the biggest fundraiser of the year for Set It Off Volleyball!

Our athletes will each attempt 50 serves as they raise money to support their club, their teammates, and the future of SIOV. Every serve represents courage, focus, growth, and commitment.

What a day for our 10U and 11U athletes!

Our combined intra-club tournament was everything we hoped it would be — strong serves, great passes, confident sets, exciting rallies, and nonstop energy on both courts. But more than anything, it was the smiles.

There is something special about watching these players compete hard, encourage one another, and then line up at the end to receive their medals with pride. The joy on their faces says it all.

We are so proud of the growth we are seeing as we round out our first season. Days like this remind us why we built Set It Off Volleyball in the first place.

💙 First-year SIOV vibes 💙

These team photos say it all.

From the very first practice to where we are now, the growth we’ve seen in these athletes—skill, confidence, teamwork, and support for one another—has been incredible. This being our first year, we didn’t know exactly what to expect…but we couldn’t be more proud of the players who showed up, worked hard, and bought into what we’re building.

As we head into the final month of the season, we’re amazed by how far this group has come, excited about what’s ahead, and already realizing just how quickly this time has flown by. These players—and this team energy—are something special.

So proud of our athletes. So grateful for our families. And so excited for what the future of Set It Off Volleyball holds. 💪🏐
