With deeply saddened hearts, we share that our beloved board member and friend, Paul Reichenbach, died over the weekend. Paul’s impact on Jewish camping and the Reform Movement is immeasurable. Over 44 years with the URJ, he served as co-director of Kutz Camp, led NFTY’s Israel programs, and spent 17 years overseeing the URJ’s camps across North America as Director of Camping and Israel Programs. His life’s work helped generations of young people find connection, belonging, and a love of Jewish life.

At Eisner and Crane Lake, we were fortunate to have his wisdom and friendship, and his enduring commitment to the camps we love. His loss is felt deeply across our community and far beyond it.

It was a pleasure to welcome artist Jenn Levine to camp this summer to create new murals for our Dining Hall! These pieces were inspired by one of the most special parts of each day at camp: sharing meals together. 💙

The Chadar O’Chel is where we come together, connect, and celebrate and now, the walls tell that story too! 👏

What makes Shabbat at camp so special? The people, the place, and of course… the music. 🏕️🫶🎶

This summer, Aviva and Gavi in Upper Nitz wrote and recorded their own version of Mah Tovu, inspired by their time at camp. We’re so proud of our campers’ creativity and Jewish joy!

In this first Shabbat outside of the bubble, we’re wishing our CLC family a weekend of reflection, connection, and kindness. 💙✨
